Are they nice cities? Just saw some movies that mentioned them.
What would you like to know? Claremont has the very prestigious Claremont Colleges and a nice little downtown area "the Village." Decent selection of restaurants for a small city. San Dimas has a faux-western downtown and tries to maintain that image. Both are basically suburban bedroom communities otherwise. Claremont is adjacent to Pomona, which is sketchy. Both are in far eastern LA County; the next towns east are in San Bernardino Co.

They get very hot in the summer. Also the air quality can be pretty shitty.

San Dimas has Raging Waters, my favorite water park as a kid.

Claremont, in Los Angeles County, is a nice little bedroom community that frequently ranks high as one of the most liveable cities in California. The adjacent Montclair, on the other hand, which sits on the San Bernardino side of the county line is the pits.
