OP: I had to pay $11,000 for the same reason. Makes me sick so see that money coming out of my checking account. That's part of my retirement.

OP: I paid $3400 for not selling. In fact, I paid corporate taxes on a sale from a company. My only fault is only the shares of Medtronic stock. Medtronic got away with making their stockholders pay their corporate taxes. I guess that's what I get for not selling.
