Democratic Voter Support and Donor Enthusiasm Surges for Joe Biden

[QUOTE]Joe Biden is seeing growing enthusiasm despite the controversy surrounding inappropriate touching. Biden is leading in several early voting states, including CA where he bests home-state Sen. Kamala Harris.

I'm glad that voters are swayed by the phony #metoo bullshit.

I want Joe to win the nomination, with either Tim Ryan or Eric Swalwell as his VP choice.

by Anonymousreply 2April 13, 2019 6:42 PM

[quote] I'm glad that voters are swayed by the phony #metoo bullshit.

Meant to say AREN'T swayed.

by Anonymousreply 3April 13, 2019 6:43 PM

Landline polling lol.

by Anonymousreply 4April 13, 2019 6:43 PM

Go to bed, Joe.

Good. Biden/Pete for the win.

by Anonymousreply 7April 13, 2019 7:22 PM

Beto and biden yes baby.

by Anonymousreply 8April 13, 2019 7:35 PM

We'll only beat Trump if we nominate a moderate like Biden. All the Never-Trumpers have said that they won't vote for a socialist. I also think the suburban married women, who voted Democratic in 2018, feel the same way.

Democrats need to stop catering to young people who don't vote. Who cares what they think on Twitter.

by Anonymousreply 9April 13, 2019 7:47 PM

Biden/Mayor Pete

by Anonymousreply 10April 13, 2019 8:00 PM

R9 is another I got mine, screw you oldster.

by Anonymousreply 11April 13, 2019 8:01 PM

Do you, or do you not, want to be rid of The Orange-utan?

As others have said, Joltin' Joe/Mayor Pete 2020.

by Anonymousreply 12April 13, 2019 8:22 PM

Honestly, I wasn't a "huge" Biden fan until the media (and even/especially MSNBC, of which I am a daily viewer) started going after him rabidly. I saw day twelve of the "he raped he shoulders! he's too old! he's 'problematic!'" and thought to myself they're doing it again! This is Clinton email scandal all over, where the media is appointing itself as the arbiter of the election (in this case, primary) and driving coverage of a story that I genuinely believe the vast majority of democrats (outside of the fucking nutso 'twitter' woke brigade) DO NOT CARE about. As time passes and Biden DOESN'T lose support, I'm just waiting for the "woke" pundits to start opining on how the democratic base is "problematic." Go fuck yourselves, we can decide for OURselves.

tl;dr: we (dems) won't let the media decide our primary candidate for us, so STOP TRYING.

by Anonymousreply 13April 13, 2019 8:34 PM

Finally, a hill worth dying on, Biden's reticence to keep his hands to himself! Because the Dems don't enough candidates to choose from in 2020. We'll you know, when you eliminate all those useless females anyway.

by Anonymousreply 14April 13, 2019 8:49 PM

Democratic Voter Support and Donor Enthusiasm = It's His Turn

by Anonymousreply 15April 13, 2019 8:59 PM

What's to get enthused about with him?. I mean ,I would vote for him but not all tingly

by Anonymousreply 16April 13, 2019 9:05 PM

[QUOTE]What's to get enthused about with him?

Being confident that he’ll kick Trump out of the White House next November.

by Anonymousreply 17April 13, 2019 9:06 PM

Progressives, quit acting like having left and left of central support isn't important. It is.

by Anonymousreply 18April 13, 2019 9:12 PM

Once he gets out on the campaign trail, Joe will start showing his age. As, probably, will Bernie. But the real problem with Joe is his long history and paper trail. There's lots of film footage and lots of quotes that will all start "surfacing" -- and more than anything, two words: Anita Hill. That was part of the problem with Hillary: too much baggage, too much oppo research already done and on the shelf.

by Anonymousreply 19April 13, 2019 10:14 PM

He runs, Trump wins...guaranteed.

Another John Kerry if ever there was.

The man is a joke. No wonder he appeals to all the pearl-clutching, middle-of-the-road, corporatist Dems on this fucking site.

by Anonymousreply 20April 13, 2019 10:48 PM

Mayor Pete

by Anonymousreply 21April 13, 2019 10:50 PM

And who do you think we should be rooting for, R20?

by Anonymousreply 22April 13, 2019 10:50 PM

I'm not r20, but I agree -- Mayor Pete

by Anonymousreply 23April 13, 2019 10:53 PM

I asked for R20’s opinion.

by Anonymousreply 24April 13, 2019 10:54 PM

R20 is obviously a BernieBot, R22.

And as much as I love Pete, he would be a drag on any Presidential ticket.

What makes you think that Deplorables would ever vote for a gay man? And yes, that includes Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

Answer? They won't.

by Anonymousreply 25April 13, 2019 10:55 PM

R4 everything the deplorables hate can be precisely tagged to Biden or Bernie or any of the "socialist" women running.

by Anonymousreply 26April 13, 2019 10:57 PM

This election is about one thing: defeat trump! The rest needs to wait. Period.

by Anonymousreply 27April 13, 2019 11:02 PM

They are so out of touch with voters if they think progressives want to see Biden on a ticket. I can see lots of republicans supporting him though.

by Anonymousreply 28April 13, 2019 11:06 PM

It's a shame a certain ex-talk show host has declared themselves out...

by Anonymousreply 29April 13, 2019 11:09 PM

The dems need to stop pandering to the vocal woke wing of the party. That won’t win them presidency back! Who else are they gong to vote for, Stein? Schultz? Be smart, less woke

by Anonymousreply 30April 13, 2019 11:11 PM

I think we learned from 2016, that the younger generation do not vote in big numbers, or they think it's funny to vote for Harimbe or Harry Styles. So the landline poll may be more accurate, as these people are more likely to drag their asses to the voting booths on Election Day. The younger people are more likely to support candidates in theory, but will be too busy on twitter trying to get some celebrities attention or making some stupid joke to actually vote.

by Anonymousreply 31April 13, 2019 11:11 PM

[QUOTE]They are so out of touch with voters if they think progressives want to see Biden on a ticket.

Who gives a shit what progressives, heavily concentrated in California, want? Winning the popular vote didn’t do dick for us in 2016. This will be a blue collar, middle class election fought in the states of Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin. Transgender rights won’t matter.

by Anonymousreply 32April 13, 2019 11:13 PM

I want my free stuff and sent Bernie $27 to get it.

by Anonymousreply 33April 13, 2019 11:19 PM

Who the F*CK zapped us into the other side of the Politcal Black Hole alternate universe? NOTHING, AND I MEAN NOTHING makes sense anymore.

by Anonymousreply 34April 13, 2019 11:24 PM

You keep repeating fake facts which have already been disproved in other threads, R31. Young people are not voting any less than in the past and the 2018 midterms showed an actual 30 year peak.

by Anonymousreply 35April 13, 2019 11:29 PM

We don't need to bash California, please. They are the ATM of any candidate. They voted for Hillary in both the primary and the general election in huge numbers - not Bernie. With that said, this is about the Midwest, keeping VA and being competitive in FL. Woke issues can’t be the focus at the moment

by Anonymousreply 36April 13, 2019 11:30 PM

The only thing that matters is 270 electoral votes. That’s what we need to focus on, not the polls which reflect nothing more than the popular vote. It’s time to get back to the nitty gritty of Democratic politics. We’re going old school, and nobody’s better for the job than Joe Biden. He’d already ensure that we add Pennsylvania back to the blue column. I wouldn’t care if he whipped his dick out on the campaign trail, he’s not losing PA to Trump.

by Anonymousreply 37April 13, 2019 11:30 PM

Top 10 (Best odds, from oddschecker)

Bernie Sanders Kamala Harris Joe Biden Beto ORourke Pete Buttigieg Amy Kloubchar Andrew Yang Elizabeth Warren Amy Klobuchar Tulsi Gabbard

by Anonymousreply 38April 14, 2019 12:31 AM

1. Biden is NOT Kerry. World of difference, starting with the magic word CHARISMA. Kerry, the literal west-coast elitist, could NEVER make a hall of white male union workers cheer for him, but Biden could, does, and will continue to.

2. I was two years old when the Anita Hill hearings happened. If you think the democratic base, which we are continuously being told is younger and more diverse, cares what happened almost 30 years ago, a time span in which be born, have kids and then the kids could have kids (young, but totally possible), then you are delusional. Anita Hill will have very little impact on this primary (I predict). I certainly won't be voting on it.

by Anonymousreply 39April 14, 2019 12:35 AM

totally agree with r29 the debate is vacuous and our democracy is threatened until GERALDO declares his candidacy

by Anonymousreply 40April 14, 2019 2:33 AM

R38 Yang is polling at one percent. Give it a fucking rest. And while I'm sure Hillary would have loved having a 3D hologram of herself campaigning in places she can't be bothered to visit, I doubt it'll work out well for Yang.

by Anonymousreply 44April 14, 2019 7:35 AM

R41, I would not underestimate Yang yet. IMO, he's the real Bernie spoiler to watch out for and not Bernie -- promising shiny, unrealistic things and with tech and a youthful internet gang of meme-throwers who have not yet kicked his campaign into high gear.

by Anonymousreply 45April 14, 2019 7:55 AM

I love Biden so I'm good with this.

by Anonymousreply 46April 14, 2019 9:32 AM

There is some scary truth to R45.

by Anonymousreply 47April 14, 2019 11:10 AM

Joe is the man to beat. There are some good people running on the dem side, but Joe is the best qualified, and the only one who can beat Trump. That may change later on, but I doubt it. And to top it all off the republicans (and especially Trump) are scared to fucking death of Joe Biden getting the nomination. That's why they will do everything they can to destroy him.

by Anonymousreply 48April 14, 2019 12:38 PM

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez throws shade at Joe Biden saying his presidential run doesn't 'animate' her and 'I don't want to go back, I want to go forward'

by Anonymousreply 49April 15, 2019 6:35 PM

[quote]Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez throws shade at Joe Biden

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez throws a wrench into the 2020 presidential election, just as Sanders did in 2016.

What a surprise. Not.

by Anonymousreply 50April 15, 2019 6:39 PM

Why? Joe's time has past.

by Anonymousreply 51April 15, 2019 6:46 PM

AOC is a legend in her own mind. She needs to get out to the center of the country and find out how 'woke' she really is.

What a farce.

by Anonymousreply 52May 16, 2019 6:49 AM

I'm for Biden as well, but he'll go nowhere if he keeps doing THIS.

by Anonymousreply 53May 16, 2019 6:52 AM

We don't want Biden. He's Hillary 2.0 and the MSM is ramming him down our throats just like they did with Hillary.

by Anonymousreply 54May 16, 2019 6:52 AM

Oh for gawd's sake R54. That's exactly the opposite of what they've been doing. All the reports are about how shocking it is his poll numbers have shot up so much. Many candidates (like Beto) are rebooting, and these reboots are being sponsored by CNN, MSNBC, ABC, etc..

Most of the MSM complain that BIden isn't 'progressive' enough.

by Anonymousreply 55May 16, 2019 6:58 AM

The look on that black dude's face in R53's link says it all.

by Anonymousreply 56May 16, 2019 7:00 AM

Biden can kick the Orange Turds ass, all the others are too busy sniffing it trying to figure out whats coming next.
