I've become fantasied with bunions. This has come about because my mother has two bunions (one on each foot), one particularly bad that has caused her nearest toe to cross over the big toe. Lately, I'm surprised at the number of films I've watched with actors baring their naked feet displaying bunions: Amy Adams (in Sharp Objects), Alfre Woodard (in Juanita), Jason Clarke (in The Aftermath), Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi (in The Summer House). A quick search of the internet shows Oprah, Megan Markle, Posh Spice (corrected by surgery), Nigella Lawson (corrected. by surgery), Amal Clooney, Kate Middleton, Uma Thurman, Kate Holmes, Christina Hendricks. Who else male or female also has them. Please post pictures if possible!!!! I'm obsessed.

R5 got it right: they're mostly (or only?) caused by cramming your feet into too-small shoes, especially high heels.
In an episode of The Orville earlier this season where her character returns to her home planet, I was shocked to see that Halston Sage already has bunions at her young age. No doubt due to all the "sexy" high heels she crams those hoofs into, like an idiot.
