Those super-speed opening faces include both contract and recurring characters. It seems to feature the characters who are in that day's episode.

Dante was even in there for a few of the episodes he was in. Epiphany was too.

By my count, only recurring character who hasn't been included in the opening is Robert Scorpio.

I think it is why they are using that opening, it must be easy to add and subtract people.

I do think it was a mistake to not include Drew in a major way since he and Hank have a history and Drew's past could have been finally fleshed out.

The great thing about Watros is that she has range. She can play so many things.

She isn't just a villainness - in fact, one of the great things about the Annie character was that she was somewhat of a heroine before she lost her shit.

One of the great things about Reva's trial for trying to kill Annie was that, in spite of the fact that Annie was the foil to the "great" romance of Josh and Reva, Watros was able to wring genuine sympathy for Annie out of the audience. She also mopped the floor with Zimmer in an elevator confrontation at the end of this clip (and watch all the pathos Watros gets to play in just 4 minutes here).

I thought the baby that Brad and Lucas adopted was Nellie and Michael's baby and that Nellie talked Brad into giving her a dead baby in exchange for him agreeing to adopt hers so that Michael would suffer and think it was his that baby who died. Michael even had a funeral for the baby. Now the baby that Brad and Lucas are raising is Willow and Shiloh's???? What the hell.

You are correct r153, the baby Brad and Lucas have is Nelle/Michael's. Willow doesn't know her baby the original Wiley died so she assumes baby Brad is carting around is hers. Only person who knows Brad switched out dead original Wiley with Nelle's baby is Julian, I think.

The storyline, as we saw it play out on screen, was that Brad and Lucas adopted Willow's baby, then that baby died of SIDS. Brad panicked and while he was in the woods he ran into Nelle and her baby, she talked him into switching the baby with her. That way she could tell Michael that their baby was dead while Brad and Lucas still had a baby. Therefore Brad and Lucas' baby today is really Michael and Nelle's, but only Brad, Nelle, and maybe Julian know this. Michael thinks his baby died. Willow thinks that Brad and Lucus' baby is the baby that she gave birth to .

Some of these "stories" are not bad in concept, but the execution is horrible. I don't know if that is on Frank or not, but someone needs to address pacing.

R163 I'm beginning to think it is a combination of Frank and the guarantees for various people, that is screwing up the pacing, and that gets in the way of the writers being able to tell the stories they want to tell.

I blame the writers. They do come up with interesting stories, but they make really bad decisions like having characters act like idiots, or revise the history of a character.

For the most part, the acting is acceptable to fine.

I think another problem with the baby storyline is that the actors who play Brad and Lucas are hardly onscreen. They’re not on contract. And when we finally see them, it’s just dopey Brad looking scared and bewildered the entire hour.

For me the cast size is 75% of GH's problems. The cast size adversely affects pacing. With such a large cast you have characters go missing for 7 to 10 days at a time unless you're the screen eaters with their crazy guarantees.

Then because the cast is so large you have 100 people on an episode. That makes the scenes short & choppy at 30-45 seconds.

All of that is on FV and his insanity for continued hiring. I actually think the writers could actually write a tighter more cohesive show if they didn't have a cast size that's unmanageable & if the guarantees of the air hogs wasn't so extreme.

I don't agree. The cast could be 10 contract players and you would have the same problem. GH, at it's core, is fundamentally imbalanced. The first thing you do is fix the good/bad imbalance. If Jason and Sonny were the villains everything else on this show would fall into place. And as long as they are written as the heroes and 80% of the stories flow from them, the show will never be right and nothing will ever make sense.

Jamey Giddens & Source Ryan have both said the networks are who put the kabosh on any meaningful gay storylines. It happened on YR as well as GH.

R180 Why are ABC and CBS so against gay story lines on soaps, when NBC has let DAYS go whole hog on the gay storylines. Especially since Disney, which owns ABC, is even having gay stories on the Disney Channel and a gay themed series to kick off Disney+. If they can have it on their kids channel, why not on their soap opera?

Now with B&B on CBS, it is sort of understandable that they would skirt around depicting same sex stories since they are very popular in the middle east. They did have a trans storyline, but that isn't as controversial over there as gay, lesbian, and bisexual.

I guess that's why people have been turning more to non american soaps for gay content and characters since neither GH or Y&R I guess are allowed to actively use or develop gay characters by ABC and CBS and for certain others NBC/Days gays Will and Sonny have become boring, Leo as bad gay clown act, Paul being neutered into mostly being a good two-shoes character and the writing not being good.

That does not make any sense to me, especially ABC which seems to allow a lot of gay content in primetime.

The majority of this show is so awful but they are doing a really nice job with the Is Aiden Gay? story. What's hindering it is the awful pacing. The usual air hogs are always on & everything else gets sporadic airtime.

Drew isn't really new, and I think the story had huge potential. A character discovers that the life he has been living isn't really his life, then discovers out of the blue he has a child, they bond, then he discovers the child is dying. That should have been a barn burner of a story, for BM. The kind of story that wins Emmys, however he seems to have just given up. If GH, had the BM that was on Y&R, this story would have been a fan favorite.

Today's show was the best in a long time, we had so many vets on and it wasn't even an anniversary show. Laura, Kevin, Monica, Bobby, Anna, Robert, Felicia, and Mac, all on one show.

The Oscar scenes were better, because Monica was there. This should have been a major part of the story. Monica should have had some great dramatic scenes throughout this storyline, the super rich Chief of Staff of GH can't save her long lost grandchild, that is major dramatic potential. Also, yes I have been down on BM, but I like him whenever he is on screen with Monica or Elizabeth, it is like the old BM magic resurfaces, and surrounded by others TB wasn't flat and lifeless today, either. I still don't care for Oscar, but Joss is good and Cam is wonderful, and I see both of them getting better storylines in the future.

Carly gets on my nerves most of the time, but pair her with Bobbie and I actually like her again, away from Jason and Sonny, she is even likable.

However, what really made his scenes today, was that Monica was there, I don't know if BM just has respect for a legend or what, but he seems to consistently give his best performances over the last two years when they are on screen together. The only other cast members that he seems to have a natural non-romantic chemistry with is Curtis and Franco. I'd like his character a whole lot more if we saw him interact more with Monica, Elizabeth, Franco and Curtis. I don't actually care for Franco, but BM and RH are actually good together and seem to bring out the best in each other. Just like how I grew to HATE RH on OLTL, except when he was on screen with Erika Slezak. I have not liked the Oscar storyline mainly because Drew, Kim, and Oscar have no chemistry with one another, but I have not hated the story because the people surrounding the story are bringing their A game. I like Oscar, only when he is with Joss and Cam. I like Drew, on those rare occasions when gets to open up to Franco, Curtis, or Monica. I like Kim, when she is with Julian. But, Drew, Kim, and Oscar alone together is as exciting as watching paint dry, and actually makes you root for Oscar to die, which should be the opposite in a story like this.

Most ridiculous soap death ever! Where to begin. Oscar didn’t know Lila or Edward. That was just Aunt Frank’s way of saying “see, I know GH history”. Stupid. And that whole fantasy of Oscar being cured was a waste. And no one was holding Oscar’s hand when he died???? Kim would have been there in bed with him and Joss, while in the room, never held him???? Dumb dumb dumb episode. GH should he ashamed. They have a great platform and they blew it.

Oscar died then Lila and Edward welcomed him into the afterlife.

This episode was cheesy and fell flat. I don’t care about Oscar.
