Drugstore Cowboy is in my Personal Top Ten. So many funny moments and stupid, sad parts too. Everyone was too gorgeous to be junkies but it was a great story, somewhat noirish, told in flashback, with the walking dead hero narrating his fall. When Bob says to Diane, "I wish I could win you back," he's wistful and sweet for the first time and Diane seems like a real dope to not throw him at least a quick fuck. When Bob goes back to Portland to get straight, I love when the rehab intake lady says, "I'm not trying to hassle you, Bob." The scenery and weather and clothes were so perfectly evocative.
