Kidney Stones and Retrograde Ejaculation

Too embarrassed to ask anyone about this in person, so I thought I would try here...

Last Sunday night, I woke up at about 2:00am with maybe the worst pain I have ever experienced. Hot, radiating pain in my left side. I stood up to see if it was just a cramp or something, and immediately felt overwhelming nausea. I stayed in the bathroom for a bit and felt like I had to pee really bad, but I couldn't. When I did finally squeeze some out, it looked like a trickle of blood.

Well, that was enough for me, so I hopped in the shower to clean up and drove myself to the hospital (luckily, a five minute drive)

I got an emergency MRI and it showed two kidney stones making there way down. After some rest and morphine, I was sent home with a prescriptions for an anti-nausea medicine, oxycodone and Flomax. I was told to stay home from work for two to three days and just wait them out. I took two days off and felt better on Wednesday, so I went to work, thining I passed them in my druggy haze.

Now all of my other symptoms are gone, but it seriously feels like someone is pinching the head of my dick at all times. Not painful, but annoying. Are they still in there or am I just sore?

The embarrassing part? I tried jerking off for the first time since all this happened (late Friday night.) Had an orgasm, and nothing. No semen at all....not even a drip of liquid. Scared the bejesus out of me. I looked it up and saw one of the most common side effects of Flomax is Retrograde Ejaculation where you unload into your bladder instead of through the penis. I tried again on Sunday, and the same thing happened again.

How long will this last? I only have one more dose of Flomax. Should I be worried at all?

Thanks!

This is WAY TOO serious for a post on DataLounge.

Go back to your doctor.

I have had kidney stones a few times - only the first time included that excruciating back pain. The most recent time I could tell there was something 'stuck' in my dick. After about a day, the stone passed. I kept peeing while seated, so I could see my flow better, and see if I saw any come out. Finally a little stone did - hurt a little coming out, penis was sore a little for the next day or so, totally back to normal now.

Quit jerking off for a few days.

I stopped Flomax because not ejaculating during masturbation was really disturbing. Although I’ve always wondered if this would be a way to have safe sex without a condom.

How long did it take to get back to normal, r3?

this happened to me also and it freaked me out as well... I think it will go back to normal a few days after stopping

The last time I took flomax a few weeks ago, my husband thought I faked the orgasm because nothing came out... I still don't think he believes me it was the medicine

OP I had a kidney stone back in the 80's. I didn't know that was what it was though. I never had any difficulty peeing. But about every 4 or 5 months I'd suddenly get the most horrendous pain in the left side of my back that it was mind numbing. It would last a few days to a week and suddenly go away. Then one day while standing at the urinal at work I suddenly felt this sharp pain in my penis as I was in mid flow and out popped a tiny little white thing smaller than a grain of rice, but rather jagged, and some blood afterward. It landed on the dark green drain screen. I picked it up and took it back to my office and showed it to a couple guys I worked with and one informed me what it was.

Since that day I've never had another problem with kidney stones.
