I think he has a female following. I remember my female cousin was obsessed with him for awhile and constantly posting pictures of him on Facebook with hearts and love emojis. From my understanding, his eyes were damaged from a bad car accident a few years before TWD started but I honestly don’t see much of a difference from his Boondock days.

His hair was not so long or dark in earlier seasons, he looked more naturally scruffy and backwoods. Very handsome in his twenties. He did quite a bit of modeling, hung with hipster NYC art crowd, had a partnership in a gallery with friends if I remember correctly. He’s easy to talk to, soft-spoken, a bit odd, but a decent guy and grateful for TWD and the opportunities it has given him.

I've never understood his popularity. He looks like he needs a shower.
