Greta Gerwig is now a mom

Director Greta Gerwig now has a “Lady Bird” of her own.

After Gerwig, 35, and partner Noah Baumbach were photographed in Manhattan pushing a baby stroller on Tuesday, reps for the Oscar nominee confirmed the happy news to Page Six.

“We can confirm that Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach have welcomed their first child together,” we were told on Wednesday.

No other details were provided regarding the couple’s new edition.

Gerwig and Baumbach, 49 — who is also a filmmaker — have been together since 2011.

Even though Gerwig kept her pregnancy under wraps, she did discuss mother-daughter relationships when promoting the film starring Saoirse Ronan and Laurie Metcalf.

“I knew that I wanted to make something about a mother and a daughter, but I didn’t know what it was going to exactly end up being,” she told NPR in 2018. “But I did have a hunch. And I had a hunch that the mother-daughter dynamic was something that would be infinitely interesting and also would feel both like the oldest story and new somehow.”

And as for her own relationship with her mother, Chris, it seems as though history may repeat itself as Gerwig gushed in a New York Times essay last year about how the two love New York City.

“My mom held my hand tight as she walk-sprinted through the city,” she wrote in the Times. “She was in her element here; everyone was moving as quickly as she was. She was joyfully sweaty. So was I. The Gerwig women belonged in New York.”

So he didn't dump her for a younger and fitter lady when she got pregnant? Disappointing.

the way the article is phrased makes me think it was an adoption or surrogacy type situation

whore

I hope the baby keeps her away from the big screen for a few years.

She was very much pregnant herself R2. She was already big boned and wearing heavy coats all winter when she really started showing. She’s a home wrecker and a whore, and now an even fatter one at that.

She looks like shit.

I can't fucking stand her. Her transparently autobiographical "Ladybird" was grossly overrated, and the fact that she tried to claim the character wasn't based on her was laughable. The truth is that she is Sacramento trash who got lucky hitting that awful mumblecore wave before Noah Baumbach took her for a ride on his dick. She also can't seem to stop herself from constantly cloyingly fetishizing New York, which makes her come across as a 14-year-old.

35? She looks 45.
