I must admit to watching an episode of this show today. I skipped through most of it. A hot young guy moved to town and reopened the saloon. There was drinking and music playing and gambling going on past 10pm and the townspeople weren't having it. The really fucked up thing was how fake everything was. Maybe it was analog, but Dr. Quinn felt real. On this fucked up show, everyone is Botoxed to death. With the women it's fine, but the men on this show look nothing like rugged individualists.

The show is too lighthearted to kill two major characters this close together. Also, since the season is already filmed, it is known they want a new actress to re-film Lori's scenes so they can get the show back on the air as soon as possible. The show is Hallmark's highest rated show, and the new season just began airing.

The EP is Michael Landon Jr. He's known Gilbert all their lives, obviously. I'd be about as shocked as Clay Aiken coming out if she gets cast.

It should be understood to be When the Heart Calls, with the "calls" being about when your heart calls on you to fall in love, convert to a religion, etc... Jenette Oke, the author of the original books really liked to do that. Other books in the same series as When Calls The Heart, include When Comes the Spring, When Breaks the Dawn, and When Hope Springs New.

This sounds like the dumbest series around ... saccharine pablum ...
