Rich Little

Was he the only impressionist to ever become famous?

I bet he was irritating as fuck.

by Anonymousreply 2103/14/2019

omg my dad used to curse the tv so bad when this son of a bitch came on.....truly gross 'star'....

by Anonymousreply 103/13/2019

I can think of another who was more famous. And more annoying.

by Anonymousreply 203/13/2019

Yeah he's annoying. Could be kind of handsome if he wasn't such a douche.

by Anonymousreply 303/13/2019

What made him a douche. I remember him - but I don't remember much about him

by Anonymousreply 403/13/2019

No, Frank Gorshin and John Byner were also impressionists, but they as actors and comedians showed more range.

by Anonymousreply 503/13/2019

Frank Gorshin - now he was annoying

by Anonymousreply 603/13/2019

Sorry, I always enjoyed him He was excellent at impressions, had Johnny Carson down pat.

by Anonymousreply 703/13/2019

he was voted the douche of 1991

by Anonymousreply 803/13/2019

I liked watching the Kopykats - Marilyn Michaels' Barbra Streisand always made me laugh....

by Anonymousreply 903/13/2019

He’s still alive and performing in Vegas. Who does he imitate now? Kirk Douglas?

by Anonymousreply 1003/13/2019

Frank Gorshin played my favorite batman villain.

by Anonymousreply 1103/13/2019

So are we treating this man, who still draws breath, as if he were dead? I can deal with that.

by Anonymousreply 1203/13/2019

who would want to watch his creep act? never was good. even ed Sullivan cringed.

by Anonymousreply 1303/13/2019

Vaughn Meader became famous for his JFK impersonation. There's a famous story about Lenny Bruce doing his first set after the Kennedy assassination. Lenny came onstage, smoking and pacing. Then he looked directly into the audience and said "Vaugn Meader is fucked!".

by Anonymousreply 1403/13/2019

Fuck no, of course he's not the only famous impressionist.

by Anonymousreply 1503/13/2019

we hovered over the du pont tv set on sundays when this fuk was on.....and puked.

by Anonymousreply 1603/13/2019

I just watched a Columbia short film called Sailors Holiday (1944) which is full of impersonators. The Cagney and Edward G. Robinson ones are especially good.

by Anonymousreply 1703/13/2019

Fred Travalena sends his regards from beyond the grave.

by Anonymousreply 1803/13/2019

On the Kopykats, Rich did an impersonation of Fred MacMurray to guest host Fred MacMurray's face. It was brilliant and ballsy.

Sadly, no one does Fred MacMurray any more.

by Anonymousreply 1903/14/2019

Who are all the super olds on here who keep putting down Rich Little? Can you explain to the rest of us why you puked?

by Anonymousreply 2003/14/2019

David Frye was my favourite. His Nixon and William F. Buckley were great. He seems to be largely forgotten these days - I guess too many of his targets are now ancient history.
