Rare interview of sisters Veronica & Angela Cartwright together

Successful careers, and they seems fairly normal. My earliest memories of television are of Angela Cartwright on "Make Room for Daddy" with Danny Thomas.

Veronica had the far more interesting career. Angela's stalled after "Lost In Space."

oh. Thanks for telling me

I thought Angela looked sickly.

It's a shame their brothers Adam, Hoss, and Little Joe are gone.

What about Uncle Tanoose?

It's nice to see examples of kid actors who turned out well and aren't full of bitter stories.
It reminds me of Alison Arngrim. She had plenty of interesting stories (and was abused at home) but mentioned that one thing they like to say about Little House alumni was: no arrests and no convictions. Confessions of a Prairie Bitch is a great read.

R3, many think it was the same actress in The Birds, Lost in Space, etc..

"Alien" - Angela Cartwright; "Lost in Space" - Veronica Cartwright

Other way around, R9

I was confused by that post like I was wrong all these years.

Uggggggh! I hate myself right now!

Delightful - thanks for posting!

Holy crap, I always thought that was Angela Cartwright in The Birds.

Didn't we have a Veronica appreciation thread some time ago? She really never gives a bad performance. Here she is in her flip period....

Angela was supposed to have a larger role in "Lost In Space"...until the show was taken over by Will, the Robot and the Queen herself, Dr. Smith.

Angela reportedly had a romance with Bill Mumy.

I did a play with Veronica in the 1990s and she was a hoot (as well as brilliant on stage). I remember visiting her chic/hip apartment in NY which was in the building on 7th Ave. and 17th St. that housed the original Chelsea Barney's. She had cabinets filled with glorious old Fiestaware....the real thing.

Nice indeed to see how well they turned out.'
Even as a kid I thought Angela was insufferable on the Danny Thomas Show. She couldn't seem to recite a single line without sounding totally rehearsed and insincere. And then I was shocked to see her cast in Sound of Music when she was so familiar to American TV audiences from the Thomas show. It seemed bad casting as her role was so negligible, any decent child actress could have played it as well.

I was shocked by Daniel Truhitte's ass. I still haven't recovered.

I love the closing scene of the first remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers with Veronica Cartwright and Donald Sutherland... her reaction when he turns, points and begins that scream is great.

Veronica was in a terrible movie called INSERTS, playing a porn actress from the eearly 1930s. It was the first thing I remember seeing her in grown up. She was beyond brilliant.

Sweet. Thanks op.

Veronica is the actress of the two. Angela is a celebrity.

Lovely relationship. Seems like lives well lived. Joyful & grateful. Good for them.

Angela is a really shitty actress, which is the highest compliment as far as I’m concerned.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | March 10, 2019 3:28 PM |
I hadn't realized they were British-born.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | March 14, 2019 5:22 PM |
Veronica was the better actress Angela was the bigger star.

R31, see R25.

I loved Veronica as Jack’s mother on Will & Grace, great timing. It’s a shame they never brought her back but keep bringing on Blythe Danner who’s a bore.
