16 is a lot of fuckin felonies!!!

by Anonymousreply 207April 3, 2019 12:36 AM

He's definitely going down for longer than Manafort.

by Anonymousreply 1March 8, 2019 9:37 PM

Haw haw!!

by Anonymousreply 2March 8, 2019 9:38 PM

Ouch.

by Anonymousreply 3March 8, 2019 9:38 PM

Until I can see some definitive proof – which I haven’t seen yet – then, you know, I gotta go with him until I see otherwise

by Anonymousreply 4March 8, 2019 9:41 PM

He’s an idiot.

by Anonymousreply 5March 8, 2019 9:44 PM

Queen Latifah is a cowardice, she is a put your finger up and see how the wind is blowing type of Dyke. I lost respect for her.

by Anonymousreply 6March 8, 2019 9:44 PM

She's the worst.

by Anonymousreply 7March 8, 2019 9:46 PM

Felony charges... damn.

by Anonymousreply 8March 8, 2019 9:47 PM

Truly, Jussie is a criminal mastermind of an order only matched by Winona Ryder.

by Anonymousreply 9March 8, 2019 9:48 PM

Call me, Jussie. I can tell you all about prosecutors overcharging and persecuting gay men.

by Anonymousreply 10March 8, 2019 9:48 PM

How many are related to mailing the fake letter?

by Anonymousreply 11March 8, 2019 9:55 PM

The mail hasn't come out yet lol...

by Anonymousreply 12March 8, 2019 9:56 PM

A maga hat in sub-sub zero weather was what made this seem sketchy from the start. At least if this was the plan, it could have waited for warmer weather

by Anonymousreply 13March 8, 2019 10:12 PM

Good. I was worried this would all fade away with repercussions. What a stupid asshole.

by Anonymousreply 14March 8, 2019 10:14 PM

Lots of different threads for this same topic - what's the obsession?

by Anonymousreply 15March 8, 2019 10:15 PM

Well, that didn't quite go as planned...

by Anonymousreply 16March 8, 2019 10:15 PM

That blue suit buttoned up to here --- that alone ought to get him a year in the hole

by Anonymousreply 17March 8, 2019 10:15 PM

Unreal. He's an idiot, but no one was hurt, so why is he facing a harsher punishment than Manafort?

by Anonymousreply 18March 8, 2019 10:16 PM

[post redacted because linking to dailymail.co.uk clearly indicates that the poster is either a troll or an idiot (probably both, honestly.) Our advice is that you just ignore this poster but whatever you do, don't click on any link to this putrid rag.]

"Nobody was hurt"? Wait until the next REAL gay bashings and see.

by Anonymousreply 20March 8, 2019 10:20 PM

(And, for those who don't want it most, this will be one more piece of ammo to get Trump back in. Idiot with his MAGA hat detail. I would throw tomatoes at him if I saw him)(.

by Anonymousreply 21March 8, 2019 10:22 PM

Wonder if any porn companies have tired to contac the Nigerian brothers ?

by Anonymousreply 22March 8, 2019 10:29 PM

Are the Nigerian brothers gay?

What do we know?

by Anonymousreply 23March 8, 2019 10:30 PM

Next hoax he pulls will be in prison, he'll make up shit about being treated differently from other inmates. Then he'll threaten with lawsuits.

by Anonymousreply 24March 8, 2019 10:39 PM

Didn't Cockgobbler have to spend $4 million in defense to get off federal charges? Does this clown have that kind of resources?

by Anonymousreply 25March 8, 2019 10:42 PM

But R24, how many people will care?

by Anonymousreply 26March 8, 2019 10:43 PM

Watch him turn trans.

by Anonymousreply 27March 8, 2019 10:53 PM

Nigerians are very very homophobic so it would surprise me if they were fucking Jussie, unless it was for money.

by Anonymousreply 28March 8, 2019 10:56 PM

Jussie will plead guilty, agree to film a “Don’t Hoax” PSA, perform a charity concert for the Chicago Police Association, and be home by Memorial Day.

by Anonymousreply 29March 9, 2019 12:18 AM

Most legal journalists on twitter are saying this many charges are normal and he will probably plead down to one or two charges and avoid prison time

by Anonymousreply 30March 9, 2019 12:35 AM

And yet Trump isn’t even behind bars yet

by Anonymousreply 31March 9, 2019 12:40 AM

Jussie, present hole for America and we will forgive you. ( o )

by Anonymousreply 32March 9, 2019 12:46 AM

Hole-presenting is the last refuge of a failure.

by Anonymousreply 33March 9, 2019 12:50 AM

This story is bringing out the worst people. That closet case Latifa. That many years closet case Robin Roberts. Did Jada Pinket Closet case chime in yet?

Jussie is polishing his hole in order to present it to the Chicago DA's office. Mark Geragos is shopping film rights

by Anonymousreply 36March 9, 2019 1:50 AM

OK, I have to say it...

Those pictures at R19 are hilarious.

These 2 brothers have more imagination than Jussie.

by Anonymousreply 37March 9, 2019 2:16 AM

No mention of this today on Towleroad or Queerty.

Queerty does have coverage of Frankie Grande's throuple breakup.

by Anonymousreply 38March 9, 2019 2:47 AM

The facts are still coming in. Let's all wait for more information.

by Anonymousreply 39March 9, 2019 3:29 AM

[quote] The facts are still coming in. Let's all wait for more information.

Isn't that what Ellen Page said a few weeks ago

by Anonymousreply 40March 9, 2019 3:35 AM

R19 Maybe the parrot was an accomplice in the hoax....and the police got a confession from it and not the brothers. Mind blown!

by Anonymousreply 41March 9, 2019 4:33 AM

I'd be very disappointed in a stool pigeon parrot.

by Anonymousreply 42March 9, 2019 4:40 AM

Of course, Black Twitter is saying why aren't white people who falsely accuse black people of crime not getting the same amount of charges....

by Anonymousreply 43March 9, 2019 4:42 AM

Will they riot over this fraudulent asshole

by Anonymousreply 44March 9, 2019 4:48 AM

If he did it ("innocent until..."), shame on him. A harmful act in many ways.

by Anonymousreply 45March 9, 2019 5:34 AM

Who you callin’ “theyl, R44? It’s “you people.”

by Anonymousreply 46March 9, 2019 5:41 AM

by Anonymousreply 48March 9, 2019 6:11 AM

If the charges are considered sever it won’t matter if this is his first offense.

by Anonymousreply 49March 9, 2019 7:19 AM

R47, he does have a criminal history.

by Anonymousreply 50March 9, 2019 10:43 AM

His caramel asshole will make some prison tops very happy.

by Anonymousreply 51March 9, 2019 10:53 AM

What happened to the FBI and the letter? I thought that’s what would get him jail time...

by Anonymousreply 52March 9, 2019 11:41 AM

Personally I think they’re just biding their time with that. If or when he doesn’t get significant punishment for his current legal issues, here come the feds.

OMG you can see their breath in that video. Parrot is saying "Awwwwwwk I'm freezing my fuckin feathers off".

by Anonymousreply 56March 9, 2019 12:40 PM

Silly Jussie! He was just pulling a silly little prank. No big deal.

by Anonymousreply 57March 9, 2019 1:14 PM

what do you wanna bet he gets more time than Manafort.

by Anonymousreply 58March 9, 2019 1:35 PM

But was it like a hoax hoax?

by Anonymousreply 59March 9, 2019 1:38 PM

R38 No worries though! They found a new throuple to promote

by Anonymousreply 60March 9, 2019 1:38 PM

R58, while that would be nice, I highly doubt it. Manafort was just sentenced to 4 years. Justin is not getting near that.

by Anonymousreply 61March 9, 2019 1:46 PM

Jussie has been in touch with RuPaul to assist with wardrobe selection for the upcoming trial. He wants a Cookie vibe, but not over the top!

by Anonymousreply 62March 9, 2019 1:59 PM

Jussie does have a criminal record (for the DUI where he gave his brother’s name), but I’m guessing he still won’t do any serious time over this debacle.

by Anonymousreply 63March 9, 2019 2:14 PM

Jussie is totally innocent just like Michael Jackson! I don't believe anything anyone says!!!! *Faints due to "Graves Disease"*

by Anonymousreply 64March 9, 2019 6:41 PM

[quote]Of course, Black Twitter is saying why aren't white people who falsely accuse black people of crime not getting the same amount of charges....

by Anonymousreply 65March 9, 2019 6:50 PM

[quote]Please. Jussie has no criminal history. He's not doing any time. Probation.

He will have to plead guilty to get probation.

I seriously doubt that this pompous, self-righteous asshole believes he did anything wrong.

He will double down on his delusional lies and go to trial.

by Anonymousreply 66March 9, 2019 6:52 PM

She dumb dough

by Anonymousreply 67March 9, 2019 7:01 PM

He needs jail time. I hope he doesn't get probation. Such a fucker.

by Anonymousreply 68March 9, 2019 7:16 PM

In these mattered, Jussie will be sentenced to Community service and a fine.

Next?

by Anonymousreply 69March 9, 2019 7:20 PM

Well, I'd say learn to type, fat fingered r69

by Anonymousreply 70March 9, 2019 7:37 PM

"Of course, Black Twitter is saying why aren't white people who falsely accuse black people of crime not getting the same amount of charges...."

Well that's a good question, WHY AREN'T THEY?

by Anonymousreply 71March 9, 2019 7:39 PM

And let's not forget the ten million trans women of colour who were brutally murdered last month!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 72March 9, 2019 7:42 PM

At one point may have been able to call it a silly prank, but going on national television and giving us a horrific acting job (tears included- with sniffles) is unforgivable.

by Anonymousreply 73March 9, 2019 8:58 PM

If he wouldn't keep doubling down there might be some empathy. But no one is having it. Not law enforcement, not Chicago, not the Empire actors, and not he public.

by Anonymousreply 74March 9, 2019 10:28 PM

One thing's certain, he'll get more time than Paul Manafort.

by Anonymousreply 75March 9, 2019 10:32 PM

Not to mention sending that letter with "anthrax" powder. You don't fuck around with the USPS. There was so much forethought that went into this (and yet, no braincells apparently firing...).

by Anonymousreply 81March 10, 2019 2:45 AM

That ass will be the inmate pencil sharpener.

by Anonymousreply 82March 10, 2019 2:48 AM

[quote] If the charges are considered sever it won’t matter if this is his first offense

Of course it matters.

[quote] He will have to plead guilty to get probation.

No he won't.

This is what I found about the traffic and other offenses from his past

[quote] one that concerns giving false information to police when he was pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence. According to records, he was also charged with false impersonation and driving without a license. He later pleaded no contest to a reduced charge and took an alcohol education and treatment program.

I don't know how Illinois works in sentencing. But for federal offenses and for my jurisdiction it will depend on what he actually pled guilty to and if that is still on his record.

If it wasn't DUI then it won't get scored as part of his criminal history. Driving without a license won't get scored and I doubt false impersonation would either and if it did it would be maybe .25 points. If whatever reduced charge he pled to was part of a "probation before judgment" sentence, i.e., the plea gets withdrawn once the "sentence" of education/program is completed, that doesn't count at all. It also may have been too far back to count.

Si it is possible he may have no criminal history

by Anonymousreply 83March 10, 2019 3:09 AM

Well, R83, he has certainly made up for lost time.

by Anonymousreply 84March 10, 2019 5:11 AM

He won’t plead guilty to anything here, because he is too delusional and egotistical. He thinks he’s innocent and a victim.

He’ll go to trial, be found guilty, and the judge will impose a stiff sentence.

They don’t give probation to people who go to trial and are convicted.

by Anonymousreply 85March 10, 2019 8:12 AM

He is making the calculation to NEVER plead guilty to anything as it would upend his career forever. If he gets convicted he can play the matyr forever and get jobs in black tv and film.

by Anonymousreply 86March 10, 2019 11:03 AM

Yeah, something wrong in his head-- he will do exactly that R86 and just continue to deny deny deny. The reality is though some people will never work with him. I wouldn't be shocked if he had some sort of mental breakdown because he can think he is so smart to get away/deny this, but that behavior will rot at his brain forever...

by Anonymousreply 87March 10, 2019 1:26 PM

Really, at this point, he doesn't need jail time. Like OJ, he will be shunned by most and shut out of the business. A fate worse than bars (okay, give him a few months just for fun).

by Anonymousreply 88March 10, 2019 7:45 PM

The fool is getting exactly what he deserves.

by Anonymousreply 89March 10, 2019 7:52 PM

R86 he can also play the satyr forever.

by Anonymousreply 90March 10, 2019 7:54 PM

I don't think he is going to be shunned. I think there are more people who are thinking like Queen Latifah. I'm already reading that many think 16 counts is too much, it's a conspiracy against a successful black man, blah, blah, blah. Jussie with the right team can turn this around and play the victim.

by Anonymousreply 91March 10, 2019 7:55 PM

Or, in a year or two, after rehab, he can make the Oprah/Dr.Phil rounds and be a born-again, seen-the-light spokesman for...whatever.

by Anonymousreply 92March 10, 2019 8:04 PM

The Page Six item shows the actors are still on his side. It's just the blue collar crew who think he is full of shit. The woke celebrities will pull him through.

by Anonymousreply 93March 10, 2019 8:08 PM

The crisis management company he hired (I think he's on his second one, already) has been posting bullshit on the other Jussie thread. Lovely. I do wonder how the fuck he's going to afford all of these "teams", advisors and lawyers. He doesn't make a crazy amount of money from the show, and now he's not making any money off of it if they did indeed pull him

I can't fucking wait for the letter part of the charges to come down. God, that will be SO sweet. I think r53 is right though, re: timing.

by Anonymousreply 94March 10, 2019 8:42 PM

You can’t compare this dope to other recent court rulings. Nobody did what he did. Maybe compare him to what was her name zTawanna Bradley. What happened to her ?

by Anonymousreply 95March 10, 2019 10:25 PM

by Anonymousreply 100March 11, 2019 1:29 AM

Does he have a clean anal canal? That will be very important when he ends up in prison. He will be the most popular bottom in all the jail!

by Anonymousreply 101March 11, 2019 1:30 AM

Yeah my heart goes out to him if he has to do time. He must've forgot the fact that pretty curly hair ones don't stand a chance behind bars! I hope he's a power bottom.

by Anonymousreply 102March 11, 2019 1:35 AM

Jussie shows no remorse for what he has done. His supporters are angry losers who will never be happy.

by Anonymousreply 103March 11, 2019 1:41 AM

Do you think Jussie will be open to letting white cock inside him now?

by Anonymousreply 104March 11, 2019 3:22 AM

Like he will have a choice !

My sides.

by Anonymousreply 105March 11, 2019 3:26 AM

[quote] They don’t give probation to people who go to trial and are convicted.

Of course they do. Unless they have shitty lawyers. I'm not saying some judges don't impose a "trial tax" but they aren't supposed to. It is helpful to show remorse at sentencing though not necessary because defendants who want to appeal their conviction can't be confessing at a sentencing.

by Anonymousreply 106March 11, 2019 5:30 AM

Prison rape is so funny. Jussie won't have to be anyone's bitch. A lot of dried up fruits here showing off their white hoods and reliving ancient sexual fantasies. Jussie ain't going to jail boo and if he does, he'll be well protected.

by Anonymousreply 107March 11, 2019 6:25 AM

By whom, r107? Cookie?? Her lesbian jail lover?

by Anonymousreply 108March 11, 2019 6:34 AM

I am impressed how this C-list actor has derailed two presidential campaigns. Has that ever happened before?

by Anonymousreply 109March 11, 2019 6:41 AM

Jussie has inspired a lot of prison rape fantasies of the "don't drop the soap" variety. Even if the charges are dismissed I can see him inspiring a lot of slash fiction.

by Anonymousreply 110March 11, 2019 12:47 PM

He's so beautiful, prison is going to be exhausting. I still don't get why he did this. It's like something broke inside. He could have just given speeches at colleges. It's a mystery.

by Anonymousreply 111March 11, 2019 1:09 PM

R19 They're so cute. This whole thing is so weird. Smollett could have hired the hot brothers to join him in an entourage, touring college campuses. Some times I can't wrap my brain around the times we're living in.

by Anonymousreply 112March 11, 2019 1:12 PM

Blacks in Hollywood always moaning about underrepresentation and #oscarssowhite even though they are a MINORITY. And win every other Oscar because of jewish academy guilt. No saints here.

by Anonymousreply 113March 11, 2019 1:20 PM

Only silly people who get all their info from TV and movies think everyone gets raped in prison.

by Anonymousreply 114March 11, 2019 10:06 PM

by Anonymousreply 115March 11, 2019 10:35 PM

Jussie must realize there are no mani/pedis in the pokey. He will not have a chef cooking for him or 1000 thread count sheets. He will have to present hole to the Bloods, Crips and such. The Latins or Aryans won't touch that stankhole. He will be concerned about all the money he is hemorrhaging and be a nervous wreck. Kamala Harris and Cory Booker will have lost their bids for President by then and he won't be all that popular in the black community after he made them look like naïve fools. Gerragos will enrich himself and say a few nice words about Jussie for the next few years but will privately tell people what an arrogant and stupid. He probably refers to him as the chocolate fairy or something near to that.

by Anonymousreply 116March 11, 2019 10:57 PM

jussie (what a retarded name) call jared kushner to fix it all for u...k? he a big big fan of u...yea. he can gitcha off

by Anonymousreply 117March 11, 2019 11:00 PM

R115 jaywalkers at night, and she wasn’t drunk. This is not an unusual outcome - in NYC drivers are almost never prosecuted much less given time.

But her name is Yo which should be a crime

by Anonymousreply 118March 11, 2019 11:13 PM

I think the Yo is meant to be "Year Old". The usual bad punctuation.

Glad I read that. She was hardly a murderer. So many motherfuckers jaywalk here in Atlanta that I am amazed I haven't wiped out a few yet myself (but the night is young).

by Anonymousreply 119March 12, 2019 2:12 AM

[quote]He will be concerned about all the money he is hemorrhaging

That’s not the only thing that’ll be hemorrhaging.

by Anonymousreply 120March 12, 2019 11:32 AM

R115 she committed no crime.

by Anonymousreply 121March 12, 2019 11:42 AM

[quote]This bitch kills 3 people and gets probation. The Smollett charges are overkill.

If you read that link... you’ll see that she took a plea deal to get probation.

Jussie will not plead guilty to anything, because he’s stupid and delusional. He’ll go to trial, get convicted, and then go to prison.

As stated earlier, probation is for those who plead guilty. Those who go to trial and waste the court’s time... get prison if they are convicted.

by Anonymousreply 122March 12, 2019 11:47 AM

But Jussie won't be convicted of anything but lying to the police. You don't go to prison for that. They don't have him for the letter because the brothers cut and pasted , composed and mailed the letter. And they lied to the police too. They also took part in the staged attack. No one is going to prison. No one was hurt and they can't prove much without the testimony of Jussie's equally guilty accomplices. The telephone records and camera footage also implicate the brothers as much as Jussie. Jussie's will do nothing more than community service and or probation. And you certainly can get outcome that without pleading guilty. He can only be found guilty of some pretty minor charges, if any.

by Anonymousreply 123March 12, 2019 12:02 PM

[quote]But Jussie won't be convicted of anything but lying to the police. You don't go to prison for that.

Uh, yes you do. Specifically when you file a false report to them.

Jussie’s accomplices are not equally complicit at all. They didn’t file a false police report. They were paid to stage a hate crime. As despicable as that is, it is not a crime. Jussie filed a false police report and then doubled- and tripled-down on GMA, with the media and with his lawyer.

by Anonymousreply 124March 12, 2019 12:51 PM

How long? 3-10 years?

by Anonymousreply 125March 12, 2019 1:23 PM

He better go to prison because the next person that commits a hate crime hoax is going to be asking why he’s going to prison and Jussie didn’t.

by Anonymousreply 126March 12, 2019 1:25 PM

[quote]But Jussie won't be convicted of anything but lying to the police. You don't go to prison for that.

by Anonymousreply 130March 12, 2019 2:30 PM

Sure, it's a little dramatic sounding but, in a way, he was doing the same shit Manson tried to do decades before. "White MAGA men attacked me and put a noose around my neck and tried to bleach me." Can't get more specific than that in terms of intent. Fuck him.

by Anonymousreply 131March 12, 2019 9:48 PM

His faked attack was literal violence on the millions of trans women of colour who were brutally murdered just yesterday!!!!!!

by Anonymousreply 132March 12, 2019 9:55 PM

It bothers some here when I speak the truth. He won't go to prison. And he wasn't trying to start a race wore, though what he did was despicable. I am a black man who does not support Smollett, but he has lots of outs. As many who are saved, many more drown in the system. No one here seems to care about the unfairly charged, prosecuted and imprisoned men and women in the grossly racist USA. Jussie is a special boy who thinks he's special. And oddly enough, he is. They haven't much of a case against him regarding any serious charges. Geragos can spin much of it into an indictment of the CPD - who have played right into it by over charging Jussie and giving immunity to his accomplice/thugs. Sketchy thugs will thug, but Jessie is a golden yellow bone boy. He's not going to prison. Ever.

by Anonymousreply 133March 13, 2019 12:20 AM

His motive was race-based.

by Anonymousreply 134March 13, 2019 12:23 AM

I don't believe the police decide on what charges are made.

The police collect the evidence and might arrest on a charge, but it's not the cops who decide the charges.

by Anonymousreply 135March 13, 2019 12:50 AM

"No one here seems to care about the unfairly charged, prosecuted and imprisoned"

Which Jussie just made easier to continue. This doesn't bother you at all?

Won't speak as a black man, of course, but as a gay man, I find it beyond repulsive.

by Anonymousreply 136March 13, 2019 12:54 AM

[quote]And he wasn't trying to start a race wore,

Oh, dear!

[quote]an indictment of the CPD - who have played right into it by over charging Jussie and giving immunity to his accomplice/thugs.

The police did not “overcharge” him. The Grand Jury indicted him. The police merely arrested him.

by Anonymousreply 137March 13, 2019 1:28 AM

A corrupt and racist PD does require some assistance from prosecutors to be successful. But falsified evidence, forced confessions and the shifting clarity of police reporting is the basis of all unfair indictments. That's why no ONE should ever speak to the police without counsel. The brothers had a very good lawyer it would seem. She not only saved them from charges, she most certainly saved them from prison. Because they composed and sent the threatening letter with the crushed up Tylenol. That is the biggest legal offense committed in this mess. A federal crime that carries a lot of time. No one mentions it anyone but on DL. Jussie is not charged with it because the brothers admitted they did it and have been given immunity. The system would be nowhere without deals with often the worse perpetrators. So, don't be so naive. Obviously Jussie is a dumb piece of shit with mental issues who staged a hate crime hoax. He won't go to prison. And I don't think he made it worse for future victims of real hate crimes. This was a twitter and media uproar. The justice system works differently. Mostly worse. But even Chicago PD cares about racially motivated assaults on their finer citizens. As long as they aren't the ones accused.

Newsflash R 136. The police lie and withhold evidence. Manufacture it too. Of course Smollett is charged. But he won't be imprisoned.

by Anonymousreply 138March 13, 2019 1:31 AM

Come on, guys, Accountability is our friend. Jussie did this to himself. H'e's not remotely some victim of circumstance or corruption or anything else.

by Anonymousreply 139March 13, 2019 1:34 AM

^yes, this blew up in his face.

by Anonymousreply 140March 13, 2019 1:36 AM

[quote]A corrupt and racist PD does require some assistance from prosecutors to be successful.

And judges, too, right? I mean the whole damn system is corrupt and racist, right? Oh, wait a minute, what about all of those jurors who convicted those people? I’m guessing all of those people were racist and corrupt too, huh?

[quote]Because they composed and sent the threatening letter with the crushed up Tylenol. That is the biggest legal offense committed in this mess. A federal crime that carries a lot of time. No one mentions it [anywhere] but on DL.

Maybe no one else mentions it because what you’re saying is not true. There’s been no evidence presented that indicates the brothers did that. Indeed, the police publicly accused Jussie of doing it.

Regardless, though, the state prosecutors cannot give immunity to a federal crime, so I don’t know how you jumped to the conclusion they were given immunity. They don’t need immunity from the Smollet situation because they committed no crime in that debacle.

by Anonymousreply 141March 13, 2019 1:40 AM

Your post is full of conjecture and lies R141. I never said that judges and juries were fixed. I said that Jussie will not be found guilty of these charges. The police investigation is the foundation of all charges. The brothers most certainly did send the letter and when you are granted immunity from prosecution, they don't make an announcement of what charges you were guilty of. That will all come out at trial. The brothers composed the letter in their apartment, put in the tylenol and either mailed it or had some else do it. That was the what they had on them and why they finally broke their silence and agreed to cooperate. For a great deal, negotiated by their lawyer. The CPD don't like to made a fool of and the brothers were most vulnerable to go to prison. You are a racist R141. Jessie and the brothers are also black, but you are taking some huge personal offense as an old white gay man that Smollett would allegedly stage a hate crime. One look into your other posts reveals your true agenda. Smollett is a creep but this can still be a teachable moment for you. Stop defending the brothers. Wait for the trial or Jussie's plea deal. He's never going to prison.

By the way, there are racist cops, prosecutors, judges and jurors, congressman, Senators, Governors, and Presidents. WELCOME to AMERICA. Crazy self righteous old cracker R141.

by Anonymousreply 142March 13, 2019 2:00 AM

People blaming the hot brothers are racist, they don’t like them because they are darker than Jussie

by Anonymousreply 143March 13, 2019 2:10 AM

Nah, R143.

Only white gays think POC don't love dark men. Those medium and dark chocolate, the ebony and the blueblack skin tone men. Give us more better now again please! There's nothing lost with a red or yellow bone beauty either. Hey Beyonce and Jussie. Men have visual preferences, naturally. But we are all beautiful. Black men and women. Our beauty alone threatens so many.

by Anonymousreply 144March 13, 2019 2:25 AM

R144 you write such interesting poetry

by Anonymousreply 145March 13, 2019 2:39 AM

Thanks r145.

by Anonymousreply 146March 13, 2019 2:44 AM

[quote]I never said that judges and juries were fixed. I said that Jussie will not be found guilty of these charges.

That’s not what you said at all. You said, “A corrupt and racist PD does require some assistance from prosecutors to be successful.” By extension, you would HAVE to include judges and juries for this racist department to be successful.

You have absolutely zero proof the brothers did anything with the letter sent. The brothers were not the most vulnerable to go since they, technically, committed no crime. Does that mean I’m defending them? No! What they did was disgusting also, but they didn’t commit a crime.

[quote]Jessie and the brothers are also black, but you are taking some huge personal offense as an old white gay man that Smollett would allegedly stage a hate crime.

Yes, as are virtually everyone on these threads is as is the State of Illinois. Aren’t you offended by it?

[quote]By the way, there are racist cops, prosecutors, judges and jurors, congressman, Senators, Governors, and Presidents. WELCOME to AMERICA.

I don’t doubt there are, but I don’t see them at every turn as you seem to.

[quote]Crazy self righteous old cracker [R141].

This tells me all I need to know about you. It’s OK for you to spew racist hatred, even though no vitriol was directed at you, right?

by Anonymousreply 147March 13, 2019 11:28 AM

R144 All three of them are gorgeous, which is why this is so weird. They're all actors, so they'd probably be talented public speakers. They could have taken some kind of speech show on the road and probably would have brought in crowds. It's all so weird.

I think Jussie's activist parents conditioned him into thinking every "social justice" movement needed an event that lead to protests, like you can't just change people's minds by speaking with them, without a protest. I've been thinking this for a while but I believe some people have now fetishized the act of protest, in and of itself and are married to the idea, for everything -- even when a protest might actually harm a cause, rather than help it. Some action fits well with protest, other action doesn't.

by Anonymousreply 148March 13, 2019 10:44 PM

R148. Are you suggesting Jussie's parents are to blame for this hoax he created? The expense of taxpayer dollars to investigate when resources are tight. Jussie is his own man and should stand on his own actions. Let the prosecution begin and if he is guilty let him pay a big fine or go to prison or both.

by Anonymousreply 149March 14, 2019 2:30 AM

Stand with Jussie. It's the right thing to do.

by Anonymousreply 150March 14, 2019 2:50 AM

Wow! R150, just wow. I cannot believe the lengths they’re going to.

I was going to fly in, alas, my plane has been grounded so unfortunately I won’t be able to make it. I’ll be there in thought (and prayers) though.

by Anonymousreply 151March 14, 2019 11:05 AM

Why can't these dumb black people believe the Nigerians? Aren't they blacker than Jussie?

by Anonymousreply 152March 14, 2019 11:11 AM

R149 I'm not blaming them for his choices. I'm talking about how he was raised and the cultural influence of the generation he was raised by: His parents were major activists and probably have find memories of protest. He was raised on those stories and had that bar to live up to. But protest isn't an appropriate -- or effective -- response to everything.

I think he was trying to spark a protest and I have yet to decide if it was for malicious reasons he was fully aware of or if he really, sincerely believes in some injustice he thinks he sees and felt he had to take drastic measures to address it. It's the same problem we're seeing everywhere: Who is sincere about their outrage and claimed fear and who is being knowingly opportunistic?

by Anonymousreply 153March 14, 2019 11:47 AM

R153 "...[fond] memories..."

by Anonymousreply 155March 14, 2019 11:59 AM

Jussie was set up by his identical twin brother.

by Anonymousreply 156March 14, 2019 12:50 PM

His continued existence at this point is literally literal violence. To all persons on this planet.

by Anonymousreply 157March 14, 2019 1:01 PM

That’s not what we heard. We heard it was all a dream.

Arguably the biggest agent in town is doing his best to make sure this A- list mostly television actor never works again. Family bonds and all that. by Anonymousreply 160March 29, 2019 12:28 PM

R160. Good. I hope Jussie only gets adult diaper commercials that show after 2am on cable access. He can talk about how he pissed his career away by creating a hoax to divide people in this country and how much he hates MAGAs.

by Anonymousreply 161March 29, 2019 12:32 PM

[quote]I hope Jussie only gets adult diaper commercials that show after 2am on cable access. He can talk about how he pissed his career away

Oooooh, I see what you did there.

by Anonymousreply 162March 29, 2019 12:33 PM

You actually understood r160's incoherent post?

by Anonymousreply 163March 29, 2019 12:34 PM

Who are you talking to r163?

You thought that post was incoherent?

Is English your first language?

by Anonymousreply 167March 29, 2019 1:51 PM

It is, r167. My question is, where did r160 learn to write it?

by Anonymousreply 168March 29, 2019 1:53 PM

R168, my fault. Totally my fault. You replied you were talking about R161’s post, which I found nothing wrong with.

Now I see you’re referring to r160’s and, yes, that’s just a word soup.

Looks like a misunderstanding. Friends?

by Anonymousreply 169March 29, 2019 1:57 PM

To the end, r169.

by Anonymousreply 170March 29, 2019 2:01 PM

Brings up Dominick Dunne's astute comment on O.J. post Not Guilty verdict: "Now O.J. will see how white people riot." They shun, ignore, don't engage, don't hire. Jussie is toast as he should be.

by Anonymousreply 171March 29, 2019 3:39 PM

Jussie's incredibly ignorant hoax will be a shit stain on his career and soul. He is a sociopath. Jussie will never be at peace in this world, he will become an uglier man over time than he already is (inside and out). Jussie needs people to pray for him, but not believe his hoax.

by Anonymousreply 172March 29, 2019 3:59 PM

I think it will all blow over and he will have whatever career he was always going to have. People may remember there's something seedy associated with him, but they won't quite remember what it is. Look at Al Sharpton.

by Anonymousreply 173March 29, 2019 4:46 PM

40% of the country will never forget, because they are MAGAs 10% of gays because they were drawn into this selfish hoax some blacks will hold it against him, but not all, sadly Too many people will avoid anything he is in, and casting people will skip him, especially if William Morris has him blackballed Time will tell of course. I

by Anonymousreply 174March 29, 2019 5:14 PM

I bet R1 feels stupid.

by Anonymousreply 175March 29, 2019 5:15 PM

R174 He'll get more roles after this free publicity. No such thing as bad press.

by Anonymousreply 176March 29, 2019 5:15 PM

No, really; if Al Sharpton could get respectability, anyone can.

by Anonymousreply 177March 29, 2019 5:22 PM

Jussie isn't as good an actor as Al Sharpton. Jussie's shelf life is limited and casting agents will look for someone without the stench of such a hoax to be attached to their projects. There are no straight male roles that Jussie can hope to land and there are many talented gay actors who will compete for the gay roles. Jussie will have problems getting work.

by Anonymousreply 178March 29, 2019 10:12 PM

Well, we'll have to wait and see

by Anonymousreply 179March 29, 2019 10:19 PM

Jussie is an entitled arrogant POS who will get his ass handed to him by the powers that be in Hollywood. He is not looked upon with sympathy, especially since he doubled down on his innocence and refused to take any responsibility. This arrogant attitude will be his undoing.

by Anonymousreply 180March 30, 2019 12:56 AM

I actually feel bad for the Nigerian brothers. It was all Jussie's idea, yet he walks scotfree, while they face trial and probably jail time. How can anyone defend this POS?

by Anonymousreply 181March 30, 2019 1:05 AM

Jussica Smollett having all 16 of her felony charges “erased”, after Michelle Obama bribed the DA, shows that “white privilege” does not exist.

by Anonymousreply 182March 30, 2019 1:09 AM

Can't this piece of shit just go away? Please people how fucking egotistic can you be , you suck , go away you lying pig, go away.

by Anonymousreply 183March 30, 2019 1:11 AM

Kamala wants Jussie to be paid reparations, courtesy of the taxpayers.

by Anonymousreply 184March 30, 2019 1:12 AM

Jussie is up for a NAACP Image Award this weekend. No word if he is showing up

by Anonymousreply 185March 30, 2019 2:33 AM

Oh, he's never going away, r183. Not ever.

by Anonymousreply 186March 30, 2019 2:33 AM

[quote]Jussie is up for a NAACP Image Award this weekend. No word if he is showing up

Gurl you know he will show up, twerking down the red carpet

by Anonymousreply 187March 30, 2019 2:38 AM

Jussie is no Denzel. Jussie is a C list gay actor with mental issues. He will not survive much longer in Hollywood. He will soon be reduced to presenting hole to Jake Orion.

by Anonymousreply 188March 30, 2019 2:38 AM

I stand corrected, apparently the Nigerian brothers won't be charged. Meanwhile, how can Jussie maintain his innocence when they are basically saying he did it?

by Anonymousreply 189March 30, 2019 2:51 AM

Who here really believes that Jussie will go on to win an Oscar in another 15 years or so, I do, since Trump is our President. I also think Ivanka will be the next President. Not that I am happy about any of this, but sociopaths tend to come out on top right now.

by Anonymousreply 190March 30, 2019 10:50 AM

Jussie can maintain his innocence because there are plenty of "Justice for Jussie" types who will believe him no matter what, and everyone else is too concerned with political correctness to really take the gloves off. That, and he's a sociopath.

There was no way the brothers could be charged at this stage, when the prosecutors have publicly stated that they believe Jussie lied about the events.

by Anonymousreply 191March 30, 2019 1:38 PM

Jussie is tainted in his own swill from this hoax. He is an openly gay actor. The roles he hoped for in the future were already limited, and now even more so. He will become a marginal celebrity very quickly, unless the FBI indicts him, then his notoriety will go back up, but not a guarantee for future acting roles and income.

Most reasonable people, gay, straight, black or white, believe he started this hoax and his INSISTENCE to not take any responsibility is a big turn off.

I have a Nigerian co-worker who is connected to the Nigerian community in the NYC area and he told me that most Nigerians are disgusted at Jussie for throwing these 2 men under the bus.

by Anonymousreply 192March 30, 2019 1:45 PM

I believe Jossie was telling the truth the whole time. I believe that because I have to.

by Anonymousreply 193March 30, 2019 1:53 PM

R193. Try spelling his name right next time. TROLL ALERT

by Anonymousreply 194March 30, 2019 1:56 PM

It’s only blacks who believe him. Because they are stupid.

by Anonymousreply 195March 30, 2019 6:18 PM

R182 Michell Obama has no reason on earth to go out on a limb for him. Stop that trope now!

by Anonymousreply 196March 30, 2019 6:23 PM

Poor Jussie. In Hollywood if you are not bankable, you are nothing. This type of joking will leave a lasting impression on the producers in the business. Why cast Jussie if a percentage of the public will boycott your production? Hollywood will not cast Jussie for this reason. This is a better punishment than prison which would make Jussie a martyr amongst a certain subset of people.

by Anonymousreply 197April 1, 2019 12:40 AM

He’s a real laughingstock now.

by Anonymousreply 198April 1, 2019 12:42 AM

So maybe he'll be cast in this new production of Take Me Out.

by Anonymousreply 199April 1, 2019 12:45 AM

You don't need to believe Jussie in order to support him. I don't believe Jussie's hate crime story but I'll take his side over the corrupt Chicago police department.

by Anonymousreply 200April 1, 2019 12:45 AM

R199. I doubt it. Producers want to sell as many tickets as possible. If they think even 1% will stay away they will cast someone less controversial. This controversy will be a badge of dishonor for Jussie for a very long time. He screwed himself when he claimed it was 2 white men. The 2 Nigerians really don't look that white to me. Maybe he can play himself if BET does a mini series about the Jussie hoax. It can be called Dial M for Maga!

by Anonymousreply 201April 1, 2019 12:48 AM

Of course you should do what you feel is right, r200. I can't feel comfortable "standing with Jussie" when I believe that he lied, continues to lie, feels no remorse for the harm/ potential harm he is willing to cause others, and is positioning himself as the victim in this mess and a martyr to the "movement" (whatever he means by that). It's not a question of choosing him or the corrupt cops. I don't stand with either.

by Anonymousreply 202April 1, 2019 12:59 AM

by Anonymousreply 205April 1, 2019 1:36 AM

Jussie is not going to jail. Jussie is paying a bigger price it seems in the court of public opinion.

Does anyone have any update on the 2 Nigerians. I actually feel sorrier for those two dingleberries.

by Anonymousreply 206April 1, 2019 1:38 AM

This has nothing to do with Jussie, but the word "dingleberries" refuses to leave my brain. Thanks for the ear worm.
