He looks like he died years ago.

Dead to me since February 10, in fact.

30+ years ago he cruised me aggressively in West Hollywood. He was overweight and drugged heavily. I clearly knew who he was and was somewhat intrigued, but ultimately declined.

Sad but not really a surprise. Now we know the long-term health effects of recreational drug use: early checkout, except for outliers like George Jones.

He never seemed like that bad of a guy for a redneck. Didn't look very happy in his declining years, maybe he was welcoming death by the end.

90% of people under 30 are only going to remember him from this.
