My two thoughts are, one, he was a child actor and got fucked with and it just never leads to good outcomes and, two, he basically grew up to be an Average American. Like, we can't expect every person who ever acted onscreen to bust their balls to stay fit & trim forever. A certain percentage are bound to stop fighting the inevitable entropy, the ravages of time.

I find him grimly fascinating, and find it hard to feel sorry for him. He has done awful things to women just to score, and all from a place of deep arrogance and entitlement (which poor kids don’t usually have, but then poor kids don’t usually get given overnight stardom and a million dollars...)
