It takes a rather long time to go by subway between Queens and the Bronx. 7 Train to Grand Central, then 6 train to the Bronx part of her district. Both are local though during rush hour there are express versions. I suppose she could take a bus, but Uber is most efficient way to go back and forth, alas.
