High school fashion in 1973

Was this a common look for wrestlers?

by Anonymousreply 31Last Monday at 5:12 PM

The chemistry club.

by Anonymousreply 103/02/2019

The mean girls and their gay?

by Anonymousreply 203/02/2019

Chic

by Anonymousreply 303/02/2019

For jocks, yeah.

by Anonymousreply 403/02/2019

R1 was a pretty typical look.

by Anonymousreply 503/02/2019

Yeah kind of

by Anonymousreply 603/02/2019

R1, is that the future Heisenberg, Brian Cranston?

by Anonymousreply 703/02/2019

The guy in the white t-shirt was the norm art my high school. The guy with tank, maybe one or two of the super locks had the look. Never saw any guy looking like that.

by Anonymousreply 803/02/2019

^Crap . . . super jocks and, the shirtless one . . .

by Anonymousreply 903/02/2019

Groovy!

by Anonymousreply 1003/02/2019

Agree with R8.

by Anonymousreply 1103/03/2019

Is there a photo of the Streaking Club?

by Anonymousreply 1203/03/2019

The really high socks remind me more of 1978. I guess b-ball players could've worn them anytime.

The girls' clothing is more 1968-70.

by Anonymousreply 1303/03/2019

hair styles looked like this:

by Anonymousreply 1403/03/2019

Are you posting photos from your parents or older boyfriend's yearbook OP?

by Anonymousreply 1503/03/2019

R1’s Cemistry Club looks better than OP’s jocks. I think the OP photo is a little sad, even for 1973. I think I remember short shorts and midrif teeshirts for the jocks by then?

by Anonymousreply 1603/03/2019

We'll take the one on the far left!

by Anonymousreply 1703/03/2019

I graduated from HS in '70, and these all look pretty familiar to me.

Side note: I recently found an old sweatshirt with my high school name and logo on it ... I cannot believe I was ever that small.

by Anonymousreply 1803/03/2019

The hell you will, R17, you homophobic skank. I called him first.

by Anonymousreply 1903/03/2019

The girls' fashion looks more like from the 60's.

by Anonymousreply 2003/03/2019

I'll take Mr. Graypants, please.

by Anonymousreply 2103/03/2019

Is that a fucking pocket protector?

by Anonymousreply 2203/03/2019

I'll take the one on the left, and the one on the right, in OP's photo. Because wubba-wubba.

by Anonymousreply 2303/03/2019

NO SUBSTITUTION!

by Anonymousreply 2403/03/2019

R3 Looks closer to 1969/1970

by Anonymousreply 2503/03/2019

Did kids brush their hair more back then or have something in their diets kids don't have today? All the hair looks so smooth, shiny and healthy.

by Anonymousreply 2603/03/2019

We liked best the fashion in swim class at our all boys high school: nude!

by Anonymousreply 2703/03/2019

[quote]All the hair looks so smooth, shiny and healthy.

It was all that Wella Balsam. And Breck Basic Texturizing Shampoo.

by Anonymousreply 2803/04/2019

"Did kids brush their hair more back then or have something in their diets kids don't have today? All the hair looks so smooth, shiny and healthy."

Huh? Did you see some of the hair don'ts at r14?

by Anonymousreply 29Last Sunday at 7:10 PM

Wrestlers, no. Hustlers, Yes!

by Anonymousreply 30Last Sunday at 7:33 PM

R3 - wasn’t there a “gatsby”/cabaret/20s/30s vibe going on in 1972 through 75?
