Anyone know who Todd is?

Not to be the grammar troll, but when a name ends with an "s" one only needs to add an apostrophe to make it possessive, not an apostrophe and an "s." As someone whose name ends in an "s," it is one grammar rule that really upsets me when others do not follow it.

I saw this production. I have the Playbill somewhere. I can look it up later if you're eager to know.

Has the New York Times turned into Cosmopolitan for gays?

R1 when a name ends in -s, the possessive can be either apostrophe+s or just apostrophe.

Everyone tho knows Todd wants to fuck Todd.
Even people who do not know him want to fuck Todd.
Admit it, you do too.

R1 perhaps OP may be from the U.K. I recall seeing St James's Square with the apostrophe included the same way as OP's Rannells's. Perhaps there is a grammar difference between the two countries? Also, you'll not find periods after abbreviations as shown in my example of St James's Square.

Well here's some tea for y'all. Todd in this article's name is really Todd. Last name Dupail. Also known as Mrs. Josh Strickland. I guess he really is good at fucking.

I hate waxen Andrew Rannells and now he thinks he’s Carrie Bradshaw. Insufferable.

Oh Andrew, this was destined to end in tears.
At least you weren’t dumped with a post-it note

This mincing Howdy Doody has no DIGNITY. What an embarrassment he is to himself. Cringeworthy. I guess the NYT is becoming the Huffington Post.

Not quite. Follow the pronunciation. If the name is just one syllable (e.g. James), you would pronounce the possessive with an added s, so you spell it James’s.

Imagine how insufferable these two must have been together. A pretentious wine queen mocking a mincing Broadway queen at a group dinner on a gay cruise is enough to make me stick my head in an oven.

I need to know Mike, what did you ever see in him?
One of the great mysteries of the universe. Nova should do a program about that relationship.

I really enjoyed the article, and am honestly curious to see what kind of stories he tells in his memoir. Might have to preorder. I understand some people don't care for Andrew (not sure why?) but he's definitely entertaining and blunt which I love!
