The smug ROMA and Glenn Close shills can eat my shit now

When you declared the Oscar Glenn Close’s in August, I thought you were out of your mind and I had seen THE WIFE.

But you lucked out with a very weak year for acting AND movies both, so Glenn racked up the accolades.

I do feel sorry for Glenn Close, however. She’s wanted Best Actress for decades and has tried very hard with Oscar bait roles for years. I preferred ALBERT NOBBS.

I don’t see how she can pull off a win now, and I think she should have recogintion.

F&F

Fuck you! A Trump loving Maga just won over Roma. Ironic giving what the night was about...

by Anonymousreply 2February 25, 2019 5:23 AM

Erna?

by Anonymousreply 3February 25, 2019 5:32 AM

Green Book will go down in Crash territory.

by Anonymousreply 4February 25, 2019 5:52 AM

Regardless of who won, Roma was still the best film of the year. It will be used in film schools to teach film making. I'm glad Cuaron won best director at least.

by Anonymousreply 5February 25, 2019 5:55 AM

Why so many threads trashing Roma? It can't be confined to one?

by Anonymousreply 6February 25, 2019 5:55 AM

you get the feeling Green Book haters haven't actually seen the movie. I loved it...

Crash ends (somewhat ) with Sandra Bullock asking her hispanic maid for a hug . Greenbook ends with ..... I don't want to spoil it if you decide to watch it....

by Anonymousreply 7February 25, 2019 5:57 AM

I am not even a Glenn Close fan and I haven't seen ROMA or The Wife, but I know it takes a major piece of shit to start a thread like this.

OP, what a fucking loser you are.

by Anonymousreply 8February 25, 2019 5:58 AM

Green Book is laughable trash and everyone knows it. It won ONLY because of the extraordinarily fucked up voting system in place for Best Picture. It was likely actually fifth or sixth. It will be remembered as a Crash moment and forgotten as a movie a month from now. This year has been a complete disaster for AMPAS and a further display of total irrelevance as they vote for movies helmed by child rapists, closet cases, and old fat white MAGA voters.

The Oscars are CANCELED and meaningless.

ENOUGH.

by Anonymousreply 9February 25, 2019 6:11 AM

Who's the Trump-loving MAGA?

Farrelly?

Prove it.

by Anonymousreply 10February 25, 2019 6:16 AM

Well, how do YOU feel about the original thread, r8?

Doesn't it take a major piece of shit to start THIS, before most contenders had even played?

Or are YOU this piece of shit?

It's funny how the OPS of the smug threads have nothing to say for themselves.

Pics please.

by Anonymousreply 14February 25, 2019 4:37 PM

Everyone here is so fucking nasty. I’ll see myself out.

Some real assholes out today because of....movie awards. And I have followed the Oscars for years.

by Anonymousreply 15February 25, 2019 4:53 PM

F&F for the OP

by Anonymousreply 16February 25, 2019 4:53 PM

R9. Cancelled. Ok.... you have that power.

Mary!

by Anonymousreply 17February 25, 2019 4:54 PM

There is nothing more off putting than a less than gracious winner.

OP, why so defensive when your film won?

by Anonymousreply 18February 25, 2019 4:57 PM

My film didn't win -- I just hated the premature victory celebrations and entitlement that have accompanied so many posts about the Oscars for the last 6 months.

This guy told us Jamie Lee Curtis would win the Best Actress Oscar for the HALLOWEEN sequel!
