I envy you OP, I remember first discovering the show. How much I loved it and all the male nudity. Now it's a shit show that I fast forward through.

On season three now and the Frank character is really running thin.

I love Lip. I don't know why. He's definitely not my type.

The guy playing Lip has definitely aged well into the role.

He started out cute with a nice body but now he is a full blown stud. The haircut helped a lot.

Louise Fletcher as Frank's grifter mother was awesome, incredibly awesome.

Favorite characters played by Wm H Macy and Joan Cusak, who is always funny without even trying. Good show, though completely outrageous and rife with crime.

My problem with the show is that you start caring about this family and the horrible conditions they are stuck in. But as the series goes on, you watch them destroy every opportunity they are given to the point that you can't root for them anymore.

As the show devolves into a more earnest primetime soap about a white trash family, it becomes more insufferable and less interesting.

I'm a few episodes into Season 4 now and noticing there are no more real laugh out loud moments.

Also it is becoming a bit more predictable. Who didn't see Fiona was going to fuck her boyfriend's addict boyfriend?

I would say that the fact that they brought in Monaghan to have scenes with Emmy before she left squashes the rumor that they didn't get along.

I recently binged this show as well, up to the end of season 7.

Frank overstaying his welcome time and time again was a big factor on why I didn't go any further... there's only so much Frank ass and Frank sex scenes I could watch. He probably should have died at the end of season 4, or at the end of season 6.

Ian was cuter in the earlier seasons - around the time his character got the BPD diagnosis, Cameron Monaghan seemed to become gaunt and had a sickly pallor to him (realistic, but disappointing). Lip and Kevin both got physically fitter as the show progressed, on the other hand, which was nice to see.

I went back and found DL's running threads on previous seasons, and it wasn't surprising that Datalounge hated the Ian-Trevor storyline and relationship. That pronoun brunch...... SMH.
