Sorry if this goes off topic, but do any of you guys recommend Netflix's Go Live Your Way? It's a new Spanish teen show (feels a bit Disney-esque or Glee?) that reminds me a bit of Un Paso Adelante but UPA was more mature and a lot of the hot guys showed off their naked asses.

They gave an interview with some news. It seems there's a new crime in the second season (but it's not a murder), and one of the new girls is in the Omander storyline . Of course they didn't say that much because they don't want to spoil anything (like it happened on the first season when one of the directors said that Marina was the victim, that didn't matter that much because finally they decided to make clear who was the victim from the beginning but that was not decided when he told to the press, but the way press didn't made it public)

But everyone will probably have scenes with Omander. "Being in someone's storyline" generally means you're part of their arc in some bigger way than simply exchanging a few lines.

Omar words were very clear, she was the one who has more scenes with them.

And no, most characters are not that aware about them. Samu is Omar's best friend and he had a total of zero scenes with both (unless you count the time he caught them kissing). Nadia knows about them but she is only in one scene with the two.

Omar's first season was very isolated from the rest of characters, in fact a good bunch of characters barely know he exist

Yes, I remember we discussed this previously, R43, but later on I saw photos of them sharing a bed etc. so it seemed like they were at least making it look like they were a couple. Honestly Alvaro just doesn't come across as straight to me but who knows.

I remember the old times of Física o química (one of the Élite writers was the creator of the show), the press was all over the relationship between Úrsula Corberó (La casa de papel, Money Heist) and Javier Calvo, it was obvious they were besties (they still are, Úrsula even got a role in Paquita Salas who was created by Javi) but they never said a thing.

They were together all the time, but then it was supposed they break up and she started to date another actor, curiously the one who played his boyfriend on the show (Javi played Fer on Física o química, the gay character), the three were together at gay pride.

Some years later Javier Calvo became very successful with a theatre play he directed with his boyfriend (and then a film and then a tv show).

Magazines obviously knew he was gay, but they didn't care and carry the "romance" as much as they could.

I'm not saying that Alvaro is gay (i didn't follow his career so close) but if he was, magazines couldn't care less as long as they sell magazines being a cute couple.

In fact everybody knows that Omar is gay (that guy is very talkative) but even after he wa publicly out there was a magazine who linked him with Amaia Romero (a popular spanish singer). They met at an event and they became friends, but it was pretty clear that they weren't more than that

Miguel is dating a very famous singer, they tried to be discreet but it didn't worked, it was almost the opposite of the pr stunt that it is Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello, Miguel and Aitana tried to avoid the press as much as they could, but they finally gave up.

Well, all the newspapers are saying Alvaro and Ester broke up...assuming they really were together. They also definitely don't seem to be spending time together these days and this has been the case for the last two months or so. That is why I said they don't seem to be awkward around each other, which I would have expected so soon after a break-up.

When newpapers speculate about couples in teen shows i always remember Javier Calvo and Úrsula Corberó (from Física o química), a lot of gossip magazines and teen magazines published how they were in love and all that jazz.

They were (and are) besties that's for sure (Úrsula even has a cameo on Paquita Salas, even when she is clearly busy with La casa de papel) but it was just that. He came out and unlike her, he became popular as a director not as an actor.

Couples are good for promoting shows, but to be fair nor Ester neither Alvaro used their private lives to promote their careers, maybe they just let the magazines do the job for them (sometimes you only need that)

Ugh.... I don't know why I watch this show, it's shit. Not only did they turn the only bi guy on the show into a murderer (the typical "bisexuals are not trustworthy and should be villains"), they also refused to give him a MALE love interest. It's so typical that they would pair him up with YET ANOTHER GIRL after Carla. Such bullshit. Of course we got to see more of the two ugliest characters (Ander and Omar) going at it, yet the beautiful Polo barely got any action. So yeah, Elite is complicit in reinforcing the bisexual stereotype of bi men being villains and only into men for sex (Polo was only interested in sex with Christian and Ander) yet only girls are deemed good enough for relationships (Carla and now the new chick). Fuck this shit. I don't like this show and I certainly won't watch the next season.

Finished it just now. I was thoroughly entertained from start to finish. I know some here enjoy Euphoria and both shows are of course going for different things, but I vastly prefer this one. I'll take snappy dialogue and action over pure style any day. Won't even comment on r128's post but will say that he isn't doing the bisexuals any favours with that nasty diatribe.

Wasn't sure about Omar being clean-shaven, but I got used to it quickly and damn is he cute! Hated Christian's new hairstyle (he looked like an aging art collector), so I was glad he got sent off. Is there any real-world reason he didn't return by the end of the season? Did the showrunners have an issue with that actor or anything like that? LOVED all three of the new additions, but especially the badass Rebeka. Lu's half-brother is hot to death but boy does his facial skin look like he's well into his thirties. Same for Guzmán.

The writing can be so mature on this show - I loved Ander's freakout when Omar started queening out; definitely not something I'd seen on TV before. And I wanted to slap that little twerp for getting pissy with Omar calling him "honey". Seriously, bitch? 😡

Couple of random thoughts: this show features the hottest kissing on TV, Nadia's dad needs to get fucking killed already, loved the inclusion of English in the dialogue, those green flashlights are everything, Omar saying Samuel is his best friend in the final episode made me laugh - the two barely interacted! Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading other posters' thoughts on this season.

It definitely was an excellent season! I did not expect that final plot twist... Aron was great, making Ander really look like he felt conflicted. Clean-shaven Omar was good! I too got used to it very quickly.

I truly enjoyed Valerio and yes Rebeca was great as well. I also thought Ester was much improved, I didn't really enjoy her acting in season 1. They all seemed a little more nuanced this season, which makes sense of course.

I do like how everything is resolved yet isn't really at all.

Wow, three new characters and all winners where 13 Reason did one who was a dud!

I love how the show made me actually feel bad for Lu this season because Guzmán had been deceiving her for so long. She actually came across as pathetic and the moment she finally SNAPPED at the charity gala was everything. And then the horrible betrayal from her half-brother... I appreciate how they toned down her cartoonish bitchiness and humanised her.

I just found out that the actors playing Nano and Christian were busy filming La Casa de Papel at the time, so they had to feature less this season. Imagine being on two of the biggest (I think) Spanish shows and their filming schedules overlapping like that. Crazy.

Some real surprises this season. Definitely didn't think Guzman and Nadia would fuck, nor Lu and her (half!) brother, yikes. I liked him though and his friendship with Nadia. Hope they make up.

I liked Rebeca as well. It seems like they were modeling her after Nairobi on Money Heist/La Casa de Papel. The costumes making an appearance at Halloween was fun. Missed Christian though, but he has always been clear he prefers the other show.

I thought/hoped Ander and Polo would hook up more but alas. I don't agree that he only wants guys for sex and a girl for love. He ultimately wants loyalty and devotion, which Cayetana was all too willing to give him.

So they were just going to let Carla and Christian off despite being accessories to murder? Carla's confession, which Christian could have backed up, wasn't enough to convict Polo or either of them? Nano was jailed for less.

Next season should be fun, minus Ander's dreadful new hair.

I admit I was secretly hoping for one more "paja entre amigos" but at the same time didn't want to see that trope of the cheating gay guy who can't keep it in his pants + the trope of gays not being able to just be friends with other guys without it turning sexual + Omar deserved some break from the horrible romance drama + Polo is a murderer with rage issues! And yes, I really enjoyed Valerio and Nadia's friendship. Almost everyone seemed to have some good side to them and act in a way that made internal sense in my view, even if within a terrible context.

Is anyone else watching in dubbed English, with English CC on? It’s amazing how little the two match up, not that it changes the story, but it’s interesting the different ways things can be said similarly yet have their own feel.

Even the subtitles were sometimes not completely on point. I hate dubbing so much, it makes me cringe just thinking about putting it on even for a minute. 😬

Nadia was one of my favourite characters in S1 but she really bugged me this season.

Ander and Omar are too different. They are very cute together but I don't think they'll last long. Maybe in S3 they'll introduce new gay characters who would be better fit for each of them.

As for the show itself: Though some of the actions were extreme by some characters, you could generally at least understand their (twisted) motivation.

Spoiler: I was quite shocked when Polo almost hit Ander. I am glad he stopped but it was intense.

What annoys me about Nadja and Guzman is the on/off relationship bullshit. Their scenes are all about either getting back together or breaking up. So tedious. All the characters' development comes from interacting with other characters.

At the end Polo is a total sociopath. I wouldn't be surprised if he faked his suicide attempt to guilt Ander into staying quiet.

I love Lu. I don't mind that she's hot for her half brother (who is the hottest addition of this season, no doubt). Valerio texting his father to look under the table was hilarious. Lu is a bitch you can't help but love.

In some shots Ester Expósito (Carla) looks so much like a young Emily VanCamp (Everwood, Revenge) it's unsettling at times.

Hated how Ander made Omar feel like crap this season. Omar deserves someone less fucked up imho. But then for most of the season one Omar was fucked up being in the closet and being afraid of his dad. Now he's moved out Ander bitches at him for not being the same repressed Omar he apparently loves? Fuck that.

I am glad that Samuel isn't dead and that him and Guzman are no longer enemies.

Loved the overall mystery set-up. Elite's pretty good at that. Better than How To Get Away With Murder (but then Elite has fewer episodes per season).

And every episode features a party or event (the charity speech of Lu is an instant classic). LOL

Just finished Episode 3 and this is better than Season 1 already imo. Loved the new characters as well, other shows don't handle newbies as well as Elite does. The twist about Cayetana was good, Valerio is very manipualative, I only wish the build-up for Rebeca's introduction were more remarkable, but she's a cool character so far.

Bummed that this show will only have 3 seasons, I feel greedy but I understand that it may be too dragging if they add a 4th season.

I admire show runners who prefer to tell their story instead of milking a cash cow and add further season with stupid stuff that makes it obvious that it's all for the cash.

An interesting thing I noticed is that only Aron and Omar follow and are followed by the guy I believe is Jorge Suquet's bf (Curro Verdugo) and the guy posted hearts in a comment to Aron's latest photo, so I think they might actually know each other.
