Ms. New Face of US Politics is just as hypocritical and corrupt as all those tired old political faces.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | February 20, 2019 2:55 PM |
Why are women generally more corrupt than men?

Hey look it's another rightwing meme about a junior congressperson in the House.
Past ones have been proven to be complete bullshit, but the Radical Right just keeps putting new ones out there. I wonder if this one will be proven to be bullshit too?
Hmmmmm .... Hmmmmmm ....
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 20, 2019 2:57 PM |
That story is bullshit, because all family members of senators and representatives get that email.
but stay pressed, hunties!
by Anonymous | reply 4 | February 20, 2019 2:57 PM |
Is AOC the next Clinton?
Ie, will deranged right-wingers obsess about her endlessly for the next 30 years?

“Stop persecuting women of color!”
by Anonymous | reply 6 | February 20, 2019 2:57 PM |
R5 Pretty much
by Anonymous | reply 7 | February 20, 2019 2:58 PM |
Wow, r4, that was fast. Thanks. LOL!
Why is the Radical Right so obsessed with someone who points out the ghastly concentration of wealth in the USA, and says the people should maybe get a few crumbs now and then?
I can't imagine!
by Anonymous | reply 8 | February 20, 2019 2:59 PM |
Rightwing bloggers, as seen here, are formulating the next anti-AOC meme ....

[quote]but stay pressed, hunties!
They do this to get negative headlines about people who threaten them politically out into the internet -- it doesn't matter that the allegations are then made out to be wrong, and defamatory. People often don't read beyond the headline, and are frequently confused by the back and forth conversation. So the smear sticks.
The only way to stop them from doing it is to delete their threads and block them.

Any politician who proposes draconian taxes on the rich better brace herse!f for an avalanche of opposition.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | February 20, 2019 3:10 PM |
I'm not an AOC fan at all, butthis is bullshit. Every congressperson's partner gets an email address.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | February 20, 2019 3:13 PM |
AOC lied about putting her boyfriend on the payroll.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | February 20, 2019 3:17 PM |
^^^ see, they just keep uttering the same lies over and over again. It's classic troll behavior.

[quote]proposes draconian taxes on the rich
Draconian? Let's look at the highest tax rates in the 1950s, the time of greatest American prosperity, shall we? AOC hasn't supported tax rates that high. So, draconian?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | February 20, 2019 3:21 PM |
Weird that the quote tag didn't work in the above posr

Shake those pom poms fan gurls!!
by Anonymous | reply 17 | February 20, 2019 3:23 PM |
It's not the email that's the issue. It was the starting point of the rabbit hole the reporter went down and found her boyfriend/spouse is getting paid even though the House rules say family members can only be volunteers. A link to the article was posted on Yashar Ali's twitter account where I found it. And Yashar is anything but a Republican/Russian stooge.

"Why are women generally more corrupt than men?"
What world are you living in? For every female politician involved in a scandal, there are 100 male politicians involved in a scandal

If she doesn't emulate Gandhi and forsake materialism altogether, she is not the right person to lead the Socialist movement. We don't need communists who cling to capitalist bling.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 20, 2019 3:34 PM |
How is she responsible for what her chief of staff did?
Funny how some people are playing into Republican hands by attacking this woman. Maybe save your hate for people on the right.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | February 20, 2019 3:35 PM |
She's beginning to look like Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

'Medium' is a right-wing garbage.

Believe it or not, that's exactly how the GOP started smearing Hillary.
When she was first lady of Arkansas, the GOP almost made her cry when she once bought cookies from the girl scouts. They called her fake and how she was using the poor girls as props, etc, etc...
I assume those who can't let go of AOC and come here to post stories about her are paid trolls.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | February 20, 2019 3:56 PM |
Paid Russian trolls.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | February 20, 2019 4:22 PM |
Putin and her minions are scared shitless of our new congressperson who has bigger balls than they do. Keep up the great work Ms. O-C. They'll be wetting their panties soon.

LOL I'm a center left democrat, not nearly as far left as AOC. But the people attacking her are 100% straight up rightwing trumpkin trolls. Go ahead and join with those slimy pieces of shit if you'd like. Sashay away!

Anyone and everyone who gets into politics is beholden. Everyone. Male, female, neuter. Which is not to say that they’re evil and thoroughly corrupt, or that they don’t help people who need it, but they’re all on the take. There’s no way around it.
So I just vote for the lesser of the evils. And always Democrat.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | February 20, 2019 6:20 PM |
Who is behind “Medium” anyway?
We need to have a media source expert to help guide us through the next 2 years.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | February 20, 2019 6:23 PM |
Axios is another weird one.
Salon? Slate?
by Anonymous | reply 30 | February 20, 2019 6:23 PM |
It depends on what she's being criticized for, r27. Her rollout of the GND is fair game. Not understanding the economics of the Amazon deal is fair game. Being the only no for the Democratic rules vote, again, is fair game. Her Sandy video and an email adress are not fair game. It seems at times that legitimate criticism about her is met with "you're a troll" largely because she draws in the cult of Bernie Sanders as her followers and that is what they do.

r5: Every woman who has the balls to challenge Dump and the republicans is 'the next Clinton.' Dirt will be dug up about their past and either distorted or blown out of proportion to make it seem worse than it is.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | February 20, 2019 6:30 PM |
I agree r31, but note that we are talking about "emailgate" here. As I said I am not as far to the left as AOC and I don't agree with everything she says and does. But I have to admit, I like her despite her millennial pretensions, and the venom directed her way from the neo-fascists of rightwing punditry, and the way she stands up to it, makes me like her a LOT more.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | February 20, 2019 6:36 PM |
A boyfriend is not family, so if he is working for her and getting paid for it, no big deal.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | February 20, 2019 6:37 PM |
She is the Republican party's best friend. They know it too.
