No voting for Jussie.
Poll: Who will be most hurt by the Jussie scandal?

Why isn't Jessica an option?

I feel like the Nigerian brothers could be tempted into gay porn after this. They are the ones who will get out of this relatively unscathed.

Nigerians may actually benefit from book/movie cash, as long as they are not charged with a crime.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | February 20, 2019 2:29 AM |
The Nigerians are completely screwed. Their acts were criminal. (The letter, at least)

The salad gets shafted yet again. Well that's my write in vote.

Oh brother, those fat black male and female bleeding hearts journalists and politicans that cried over poor lil jussie mae….

Robin Roberts, and Trump/Pence have nothing to worry about on this list. It's everyone or entity that is listed above them that should have genuine concerns.

They were responding via tweet to an attack that was reported as legitimate, they did nothing wrong.

No. The "woke" celebs were looking to start a race war after just hearing a headline that fit their narrative..
Once the scam was reveled they wanted to "wait for the facts". That's what people are upset about.

I just came here to say fuck Ava Duvernay

A big name newscaster and 2.presidential candidates (!) should have been more cautious. It just shows they are not very professional. Most people don't care that public figures are dumb

I don’t see why Ellen Page has anything to worry about. What she said on Colbert was completely spot-on (obviously except for the quick aside of support to Jussie Smollett). Smollett’s “attack” being fake doesn’t negate anything she said which was 100% true.
Ava DuVernay is as much of an idiot as Smollett. She should really stay off Twitter this week. We do need require your hot take on every new development of the case, hon.

Those of us who wanted to see him naked and soapy in the Take Me Out revival.

Kamala and Booker will be hurt by this especially Kamala since Jussie was at her rally in Oakland days before this drama
by Anonymous | reply 14 | February 20, 2019 5:15 AM |
Results: DL readers think Brett Mahoney and Kamala are biggest losers of scandal (aside from Jussie).

I'm sick of Ellen Page. Ever since this bitch came out she's the most lesbian lesbian who ever lesbianed. Get a fucking hobby and please stop boring the shit out of me with your endless woke, self-righteous indignation.

I really like Robin Roberts. Even though her "Bye, Felicia" (directed at Omarosa when exiting the White House) was arguably, unprofessional, I give her (RR) a pass for it.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | February 21, 2019 5:01 AM |
I think the "Woke" celebs will be the biggest losers. They are starting to lose credibility.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | February 21, 2019 5:04 AM |
LOL at all of you who think the celebs who commented will face any repercussions. They have always weighed in on social justice issues and they always will -- people expect them too. The only thing that will change is that might wait to have more ironclad proof before commenting when something like this happens again (like for example, wait for video evidence to come out or wait for police to arrest a suspect).
Lotta incredibly clueless MAGA/alt right people on this thread, as is usual on Datalounge as of late.

The president also issued a statement saying this was a horrible attack.
So he will also be held accountable?
by Anonymous | reply 20 | February 21, 2019 5:14 AM |
Hopefully the pendulum will settle somewhere between "you brought this upon yourself" and "believe the victim.'" Yes, people need to stop blaming the victim, but you also need to bring your powers of discernment (BS detector) to the table.

Trump's comment:
[quote] “That I can tell you is horrible,” he said. “I’ve seen it. Last night. It’s horrible. Doesn’t get worse.”
This was classic trolling.

R19, Alyssa Milano was listed as one of the celebs the Covington boys may sue. They're going after every celeb who tweeted inflammatory and condemning remarks based on that one angle video.
R20, Trump didn't go off in his tweet (unusual, I know) asking for the white attackers' heads on a platter like most of the celebs tweeting.

By "believe the 'victim,'" I meant "believe every person who claims to be a victim, 100%."
