Yes Lucas is totally low key and people don't know him (and he seems to like that, he doesn't even have a public instagram), but Tim is not that popular as so many people seem to think here. He has a small and rabid internet fanbase and that's all. He will known for sure, because he is ready to use his life to promote his career which could go well and could backfire big time.

The curious thing is if he was trying to have a similar career to Lucas (both have similar careers till now) i'm pretty sure will get Tim's movies for years and years, because he has the acting chops. But he doesn't want the same type of career Lucas wants, so it'll all depend of how smart he is.

If he is smart he will combine indie movies and big studio movies, and he better pray he has a movie like Titanic on his way because that's the only way he'll become the movie star he wants to be. And hopefully his chops to fake being interested in his beard will improve, because right now he is just not popular enough (and neither LRD) to people really care about almost fainting on the red carpet if he is questioned about his girlfriend, but people will care if he really become the type of actor he really wants to be.

Being an it boy (and that's just what he is right now) has its burdens, you get some attention and promotion (i'm pretty sure Ansel will envy that but i doubt Lucas cares at all) but you are simply the flavour of the month in an industry with a short time memory. He has the advantage over previous "new best young actor in HW" of previous seasons that he in fact has talent, but in the end it's making the right decisions and a little luck what makes the difference

So a lot of times now ive seen people here say how much timmy wants to be a 'star' over just doing what he loves, has he ACTUALLY said this anywhere or just about said it? or is everyone just assuming because he's ambitions? They're not the same. People have said it over and over here, all I've ever heard tim talk about wanting is working with great directors, not just popular things. Spiderman aside (which he went for pre-fame and when he was younger), he's just going for good work right now with people he likes. If being a star was ALL he wanted he would be going for much different things, idk this talk about how all he cares about is attention and fame seems to take away from his very obvious passion and love for what he does.

Even if he gets a bit overexposed from time to time, even if he gets known just for fashion for a few people, even if his it boy status goes away, he's gonna keep on working for a very long time on all kinds of things. Honestly I think he is very aware of the limitations of his appeal, how he differs from your typical leading man. He's not trying to shy away from his kind of 'delicate' image, he really owns it and recognises his strength & weaknesses

Lucas was doing theatre and has two films that are going to be released this year. I don't think he has nothing to worry about. And frankly i don't think Lucas looks are a problem at all, he is not going to be hearthrob or an idol to teenage girls and i don't think he wants that either, but he has the perfect looks to play any role, it's not like he is ugly, or too small.

In fact Tim's looks limit him too. He is not the classical handsome actor either.
