Thank you for starting this thread, OP. He was my favorite Python, and way ahead of his time. He was talking about "gay liberation" on television decades before other celebrities, gay or straight, dared.

And I'm curious to know what the real deal was with the teenaged "son" that he and his partner adopted. His obituary writers all seemed to take that situation at face value, but my gut tells me it was a romantic and sexual arrangement.

The other Pythons like to talk about the "boys" Chapman kept at his home, though they sounded more like twinks of age and not actually children. I wish I could remember specific interviews, but I know one was with Michael Palin discussing picking Graham up for a film shoot and there was always some (Taiwanese, I believe) "boy" there helping him get ready. Another interview was with John Cleese.

His adopted son John Tomiczek died soon after Chapman did if I recall, and was already in his 30s.

He was adopted in 1971 when he would have been 10. I'm finding it very difficult to believe he adopted a 10 year old boy as a sex slave, especially one with a congenital hearth condition.

Didn't Graham have his medical degree? He was my first favorite on the guys. Sad to hear all this - tortured alcoholic, I guess - and if an abuser, sociopathic. But so so pretty.

Ah, I see that a few years ago the Daily Mail wrote an article on a Python film and just plunked in an apparently completely made-up story in the middle of it, saying Tomiczek was actually a 13-year-old hustler and Chapman was a pedo.

The Daily Fail story includes a claim saying Cleese was alarmed at Chapman's obvious attraction to the kid, but I'm finding nothing that confirms it. It really does seem made up.
