Barbra Streisand Now Calling Josh Brolin "Her Son"

Barbra's stepson, Josh Brolin, 51, is a year younger than Barbra's biological son, Jason Gould, 52.

Regarding what Josh Brolin calls her, I'm sure they have discussed it so that it's comfortable for both of them. Streisand has been married to James Brolin for nearly 21 years, since Josh was 30 years old. I would guess they kind of have a mother/son relationship. Now that Josh is a middle aged guy, referring to Babs as Ma is kind of a term or endearment. By the way, I don't like the term "Ma;" I prefer "Mom."

Josh's mother died when he was young. I can relate. My mother died when I was 18. So, over the years, my stepmom has become like a mom to me. I still call her by her first name, but we're close. Everyone needs a mother figure; it's nice that Barbra has become one for him.
