He was one of the Colt models and seemed to be everywhere for a while in the 80s. I read that he died of aids around 1990 but that's about all I could find. Anyone know anything more about him. I thought he was hot.
Speaking of long ago porn stars, what was Gordon Grant's story?

There's some debate about whether his real name was Don Bowman - he was half Irish and half Cherokee by most accounts. Jim French, named him after a famous illustrator, the same way he gave Drew Okun, the name Al Parker.
His known films: Bowman 1016, Hammerhead, Flatbed, Houseboat, Lifeguard, The Crotch Watcher (Dirty Words), Young Conquest, Working Late, Stay Hungry aka Pumping Nine, and Hot Truckin’.
[quote] The only other time he used the name Don Bowman, was when he posed for Roy Dean. I had always thought that Jim French discovered him. Maybe he saw this loop and then photographed him at a later time, also in 1975. His first Colt loop, “Hammerhead”, came out in 1976, but by then, “Olympus Three”, was already being sold. I read a article that stated he did all his three Colt Studio loops by 1977.
Apparently, he died in the early 90s.

None of the Don (or Donald or Donnie) Bowman's in the SSDI and the California Death Index seem to be him. All either much too old or young at the time of death to be him. I'm guessing it was another nom de porn of his.
Here's a pic of him and DL fave Bill Cable/Stoner (who also sadly died too young) from a men's wear catalog.
