Picture it- Christmas night 2016. I'm thinking my direct deposit won't be going though till the next night. I randomly check and was delighted to find it came early.

My nose looks like hamburger meat, I have a big open cut on my chin (needed 4 stitches) and worst of all, I look at my hand and my pinkie is bent backwards, where I tried to stop the fall. I looked way messed up, and blood was pouring from my chin on to my shirt. I wish I could post the picture here.

I goddamned well went to the dealers apartment and got my pills. I was gonna need 'em now.

Then I went to call an uber but realized my phone was gone. I staggered over to an apartment complex with a door man, but he took one looks at bloody me and refused to let me in. He was good enough to call an ambulance. I told the ambulance drivers I fell while taking a walk. They didn't believe me.

I wind up at Cedar Sinai emergency room. A doctor popped my pinkie back into place. My pinkie is still kinda fucked to this day. I was asked to make a police report but declined.

Whenever I told the story to anyone, of course I left out the drugs part and just said I was randomly mugged. I had to make shit up about what I was doing out at 2am in the morning on Christmas night.

On the ABC nightly news, they just did a follow-up story and said that police are looking for two persons of interest who were spotted on some of the video obtained. The video doesn't show the attack itself, just these two persons of interest who were in the area around the time of the attack.

R198 I think the hoax claims we're commenting on the fact that Jussie and his managers seem to be doing everything they can to make it difficult for the cops with the body camera shutting off, refusing to hand over his phone, etc. Sort of like how the studio says they offered Jussie a bodyguard after that letter last week, but he refused. Our home has continuously been a community hub for Black and Brown trans people to come and be loved on, affirmed, and supported with a roof over their heads and food to eat when needed.

Unfortunately, the current landlord at our Bronx apartment won't make repairs. Among things like broken windows and faulty wiring that have not been fixed since we moved in, our ceiling has had constant leaks and grown mold, which is detrimental to our health, and the bathroom has began to cave in several times. Now, in the coldest months of the year, we don't even have reliable heat. We have tried to be patient because the fight is exhausting, but the situation is getting worse. The landlord refuses to address these issues, so the reality is we need to leave this place ASAP.

We've recently found an amazing apartment that meets all of our needs and will allow us to provide even more space for the community than we had before! But we need help to raise enough money ($7300 approximately because yes, the housing crisis in New York is that bad) to cover moving expenses by March 1st.
