WHET Frank Zappa's kids?
They were trying really hard to make Moon Unit and Dweezil happen back around the late 80s. I vaguely remember Ahmet , and I don't remember the youngest one, Diva, at all.
From Moon Unit's Wiki:
[quote]Following the death of Zappa's mother, Gail, in October 2015, it was revealed that her siblings Ahmet and Diva were given control of the Zappa family trust with shares of 30% each, while Moon and her brother Dweezil were given smaller shares of 20% each.[5] Speaking to the Los Angeles Times in 2016, Zappa called it "the most hideous shock of [her] life."[5] As beneficiaries only, Moon and Dweezil will not see any money from the trust until it is profitable—in 2016, it was "millions of dollars in debt"[5]—and must seek permission from Ahmet, the trustee, to make money from their father's music or merchandise bearing his name.[5]
From Dweezil's Wiki:
[quote]Zappa received a cease-and-desist letter from the trust after he announced that he was being forced to perform his upcoming tour as "Dweezil Zappa Plays Frank Zappa" instead of using "Zappa Plays Zappa." In response to the trust’s action, he renamed his performance series "50 Years of Frank: Dweezil Zappa Plays Whatever the F@%k He Wants — the Cease and Desist Tour."[11]
So they don't get along any more, eh? I'd like to know what went down to cause such a rift.
Some weird relationships they had: Ahmet was married to Selma Blair for a hot minute(!), Dweezil dated Lisa Loeb for 6 years and even had a cooking show together? I don't remember that at all. Moon Unit had a kid with one of the guys from Matchbox 20.

Moon Zappa deserves a swift kick in the cunt for that homophobic 80's song Valley Girl, where she insults a gay male teacher.

Nobody cares about them because Frank Zappa has basically been forgotten.

Really stupid of the parents to pit the kids against one another like that. They should have all gotten 25%

You asked whatever happened to them but you have more answers than anyone else could possibly have about the Zappa kids.
I wonder why the estate is millions of dollars in debt? How could that have happened?

Frank Zappa was a cold, mean person who probably got off on making his kids resent each other. He warned them "I don't do love" -- they should have believed it.

My mother had three kids from her first marriage who she wrote out of the will, and I think she had pretty good reason to do so, but she didn't tell them. She told me that she had, and she also told other lies about a pension and a savings, which in truth she basically forfeited so nobody got. It caused a huge amount of drama and I've had to come to the conclusion that she did it on purpose.
Which is why, when I see a story like this, I figure this dead parent did it on purpose too. Some people are just rotten.

Anyone who loved their children wouldn't have named them Dweezil and Moon Unit!

They had a fun guest turn on Roseanne during that dreadful last season.
Same episode as Tammy Faye, todd Oldham, and others

They've made up. Mom was a cunt to the extreme in that she divvied up the estate so it would purposely pit the kids against each other. If she had simply written them out, that's one thing but she made it an unequal partnership.

I remember Dweezil's and Lisa Loeb's cooking show. I enjoyed it quite a bit. It showed both of them as seemingly very nice, normal people. Dweezil was and still is one gorgeous man.

Dweezil definitely got the looks in that family.
Here is Diva Zappa's website. She sells knitted hats for upwards of $200 and tarot readings for $250 - $500.

R31, yes, that's Jane Fonda--and more--in r8.
[quote]In television he worked as a guest MTV VJ. During that same period he recorded and released his first full length album, Havin’ A Bad Day. This album contained the single “Let’s Talk About It” which featured Moon Zappa on vocals and found itself on regular rotation on MTV. The video featured cameo appearances from Frank Zappa, Robert Wagner, Don Johnson and Jane Fonda as well.

Katie Wagner (Robert’s daughter between his marriages to Natalie Wood) was deweezils long term girlfriend in the 80s and for a time was his legal guardian when he moved out of frank and Gail’s home and in with Katie. Today that would be a big scandal but in the 80s it Didn’t get much traction

Frank was Arabic via Italy & his wife was Jewish. Dweezil got the mother's looks, obviously. They also had an open relationship.

Easy! Multiple adult children and their mother never working a day in their lives will bankrupt any estate.
I do give Dweezil props though, because he did, and apparently still does try to seek employment (he must have been very broke....Wife Swap?!?)

He’s at the Trax club near the start of the film. Andie asks him what he’d do if his father suddenly became rich or something to that effect, and he says, “I’d kiss his ass.”

It's really simple. The mom felt two of the children would safeguard her husband's image and the other two would do anything to capitalize on it. Additionally in business decisions it is almost impossible for 4 people to agree unanimously. She picked the two who she trusted with only the need for two to agree. She probably thought 3 against one or a deadlock would cause more strife. Plus the two left out could have more money but less common sense.
