I like Lisa. She has a unique presence, and is very beautiful. Also agree with r15 that I appreciated she didn't take Cosby's bullshit or his hypocrisy. It always irritated me how he judged her for taking on the Angel Heart role, which had nothing to do with Cosby.

Having said that, i think Bonet works better as part of an ensemble (as she did on Cosby) or in supporting roles. A Different World revealed that she isn't really capable of carrying a show or that she's a star. When screechy-voiced Whitley (Jasmine Guy) works better as a lead, that's pretty telling.

In the late '90s/early '00s, Bonet seemed poised for a comeback with a supporting role in the hit movie Enemy of the State with Will Smith and a critically acclaimed performance in High Fidelity with John Cusack. But then she went back to obscurity. I wonder what happened.
