HA !!!!!!!!!!!
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 16, 2019 4:19 PM |
People still write checks?

Sad DILF mugshot.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 16, 2019 4:24 PM |
Loser
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 16, 2019 4:24 PM |
"Why don't you take a seat over here"
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 16, 2019 4:28 PM |
He's the host of "Crime Watch Daily" a daily national show, how does he not have the cash for this?
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 16, 2019 4:28 PM |
Plus, he sold the boat.
And, he let this go on for a long time.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 16, 2019 4:30 PM |
Cue Nelson Muntz.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 16, 2019 4:36 PM |
[quote] He's the host of "Crime Watch Daily" a daily national show, how does he not have the cash for this?
That show got cancelled last Spring. But, yes, you'd think he had more than enough cash to cover a $12,000 bill.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 16, 2019 4:36 PM |
Do we know if Mr. Chris Hansen escorts? I'd pay extra for the "Take A Seat Experience"
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 16, 2019 4:38 PM |
Appropriate that he made a career of covering crime.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 16, 2019 4:40 PM |
He was a real blonde stud in Detroit TV in the late '80s but that was a long time ago
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 16, 2019 5:04 PM |
He did not age well at all. As a matter of fact, I always wondered if he had drug, alcohol or depression issues because he just looked really unwell/unhealthy on that Crime Watch Daily program. Shockingly so. Overweight and miserable. Something was going on there. Yeah, everbody ages but he just did not look healthy. I am actually very sad and sorry to hear this about him. Whatever went down, you have to work pretty hard to get arrested for passing bad checks in 2019. I mean, he couldn't have done SOMETHING to avoid that seller turning him over to the cops?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 16, 2019 5:27 PM |
At least he lost the weight.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 16, 2019 5:41 PM |
Hated hated HATED "To Catch a Predator" because it made me sympathize with and pity child molesters.
Hansen was the embodiment of smug and self-righteous on that show.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 16, 2019 5:42 PM |
Is Chris a homosexual?
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 16, 2019 5:42 PM |
R18 my thought too.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 16, 2019 5:55 PM |
"To Catch a Deadbeat"
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 16, 2019 5:57 PM |
[quote]Is Chris a homosexual?
Well, considering he had an affair with a much younger woman while he was married, my answer is no. BTW, the younger woman looked like a younger version of his wife.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 16, 2019 6:04 PM |
Where I live, you don't get charged with writing bad checks unless (a) the check bounces; (b) you don't make good on it in a brief period; (c) it can be proven you wrote the check knowing you didn't have the $$ to cover it.
After reading the article, I see that is pretty much what happened.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 16, 2019 6:08 PM |
He was always such a sanctimonious ass on "Predator" and as mentioned above -- that is not the kind of show where you should be rooting for the perps. He was just so smug and unlikable. Could not have happened to a more deserving fellow.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 16, 2019 6:24 PM |
Why did he get shitcanned from NBC and Dateline? I can't remember the details.
Yes, he was very cute when he was younger. Has not aged well.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 16, 2019 6:28 PM |
Matt Lauer thought he made the network look bad so he had to go
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 16, 2019 7:25 PM |
Why are people so happy to see his downfall?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 16, 2019 7:46 PM |
He was scum.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 16, 2019 7:53 PM |
This whole concept of Crime WATCH!!! and CATCH A PREDATOR!! is gotcha porn. Not journalism. They also make everyone more fearful, CRIME EVERYWHERE!! PREDATORS IN EVERY BUSH!!!!
Programs like Crime Watch shouldn't exist period, and Dateline should be doing 60 Minutes style long-form journalism but NBC doesn't give a shit a about stuff like that.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 16, 2019 7:54 PM |
I MADE SOME ICED TEA!
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 16, 2019 7:58 PM |
R28 You don't think his show was legitimate journalism. Very fair critique imho.
But how does that lead to celebrating his arrest?
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 16, 2019 8:04 PM |
That’s a lot of money for a bunch of crappy promo items
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 16, 2019 8:04 PM |
R31: I'm not. I'm critiquing his career and the shows he chose to foist on the American public.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 16, 2019 8:10 PM |
R31 Hypocrisy, that's why.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 16, 2019 8:11 PM |
I found his odd, affected accent grating on the nerves
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 16, 2019 8:28 PM |
Well I never in all my life!
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 16, 2019 8:29 PM |
He needs to sell his boat to get $13,000? What does he spend all his money on that he lives hand to mouth like that?
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 16, 2019 8:37 PM |
Talk about karma.
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 16, 2019 9:42 PM |
What was he promoting on the mugs and T-shirts if his show was canceled?
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 16, 2019 9:50 PM |
Couldn’t have happened to a more deserving fellow.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 16, 2019 9:53 PM |
R36: Well you should, it's really fun!
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 16, 2019 10:31 PM |
The story of his spending $12,000 on "promotional materials" when he's financially busted is fishy. If he's broke, why would he spend what money he has left that way?
This doesn't add up.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 16, 2019 10:35 PM |
Some people don't save, some people save to excess -- I'll bet he's cash poor because all his money is in places like mutual funds.
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 16, 2019 10:44 PM |
Oh, the irony. I hope they busted him under the guise of having a pizza delivered.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 16, 2019 10:53 PM |
There's a 30 year age difference between the pic in R30 and OP, right?
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 16, 2019 11:06 PM |
Is it normal to file charges after one bad check, or is it because the amount was north of $10k?
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 16, 2019 11:06 PM |
He’s hot as fuck in that young pic at R30. But I agree, such a smug personality.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 16, 2019 11:09 PM |
It is the amount R46. No one writes a check for $13K without knowing if the money is in the bank. The fact that he offered to pay it in installments later confirms that he knew at the time it was no good. It's fraud.
It isn't like he wrote a check for $50 over his balance hoping he could float it until payday.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 16, 2019 11:10 PM |

At least he is a national figure, therefore he warrants my attention for petty crime like this.
Chris Burrous is only local so that's why I'm absolutely not covering his suspicious death.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 16, 2019 11:12 PM |
Back to the important questions: What's his net worth? And why did he hit a wall so damn hard? Does anyone have a picture of his dick?
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 16, 2019 11:17 PM |
He will be the next TV "journalist" found dead mid-day in a Daze Inn.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 16, 2019 11:22 PM |
He needs to move out of Fairfield County, it's expensive AF.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 16, 2019 11:22 PM |
Maybe he finally met the Nigerian prince who knew how to scam him
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 16, 2019 11:23 PM |
He was so fuckable years ago, I would've let him bust in my mouth and taken every drop down my hungry, hungry throat.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 16, 2019 11:25 PM |
13000 dollars for 355 mugs and 250+ T-shirts? ??? Isn't that a little expensive for promo crap? Fishy.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 16, 2019 11:27 PM |
I wondered the same thing R56, but a bounced check is a bounced check.
Going off what Youtubers sell their crap for, I would imagine that t-shirts and mugs cost (to the seller) $4-$5 each at the most. $13K is a lot for what they listed.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 16, 2019 11:31 PM |
I remember him from his Detroit years and, yes, he was so hot. 6'2", lean. I would see him in person on occasion and he was enchanted by his appearance. Was surprised to see him get so heavy.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 17, 2019 12:03 AM |
**I was enchanted**
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 17, 2019 12:39 AM |
I thought this was a joke, what a bizarre story.
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 17, 2019 1:09 AM |

How To Catch A Predator Catcher
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 17, 2019 2:11 AM |
I feel there is a little more to his arrest... I expect blind items, etc.
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 17, 2019 6:00 AM |
Well, that is pathetic.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | January 17, 2019 6:09 AM |
He has tinymeat face.
That pert nose is a bad sign.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | January 17, 2019 7:07 AM |
What kind of promo mugs was he buying? That seems odd.
by Anonymous | reply 66 | January 17, 2019 7:20 AM |
I Brake for Business!
by Anonymous | reply 67 | January 17, 2019 7:30 AM |
He had condoms and lube in his pocket when he was arrested...
by Anonymous | reply 68 | January 17, 2019 7:42 AM |
Rubbers are FORBIDDEN in our house!
by Anonymous | reply 69 | January 17, 2019 9:01 AM |
That's weird. Why was he paying for that stuff? Sounds like some kind of scam.
by Anonymous | reply 70 | January 17, 2019 9:07 AM |
bump

His Net Worth and Salary: One of the veteran American journalists, Chris has a net worth of $2.5 million dollars and over $500 thousand USD as an annual salary. Chris is known as the most renewable reporter and journalist, and his profession and his experiences help to him as the richest media personality.Nov 28, 2016.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | January 17, 2019 5:06 PM |
Just googled his pictures and his physical deterioration is remarkable. He's only 59 but looks a decade older in his mugshot.
His face steadily bloats as the years wear on. I'm guessing he's a serious alcoholic.
by Anonymous | reply 73 | January 17, 2019 5:13 PM |
I couldn't stand watching that fucking entrapment show of his. I know those dudes were pervs but I found the show overly cruel and sometimes unfair. I was waiting for the day Chris Hansen was busted for touching and underage girl. This is gonna have to do I guess. Aretha Franklin didn't like to pay her bills either. I don't understand these rich cheapskates.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | January 17, 2019 5:27 PM |
Cruel and unfair is why the tides turned and the show got canceled. I think it was an episode done in the Dallas suburbs that ended it all.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | January 17, 2019 7:05 PM |
You can write as many 'Bad Checks' (Cheques) as you like here in the UK and never get arrested, they just become a civil matter and the payee has to take private legal action.
by Anonymous | reply 79 | January 17, 2019 11:50 PM |
He’s such a smug ass!
by Anonymous | reply 80 | January 18, 2019 12:08 AM |
WTF happened to his money?
by Anonymous | reply 81 | January 18, 2019 12:59 AM |
One of the girls on TMZ called it "To Catch A Creditor". Clever.

Ok, so he’s bankrupt...happens to anyone. I like him and loved his show. It was a great public service and had a watching-a-car-wreck kind of watchability. He’ll land on his feet again.
by Anonymous | reply 88 | January 19, 2019 1:40 PM |
The promo items were gifts for donors to his GO Fund Me Page that is suppose to pay for a reboot of To Catch a PREDitor
by Anonymous | reply 89 | January 19, 2019 2:16 PM |
According to Daily Mail, Hansen owes approximately 1.5 million (including mortgage he's behind on and credit cards and taxes). He's also in divorce and has been evicted from his NYC apartment. His show (TCAP) has been off air for 10 years now and only ran for 3 years. It was popular but got canceled when a Texas DA committed suicide after the show set him up and he exchanged photos with someone he thought was a 13 year old boy. The promo items Hansen bought with the bad check went all the way back to 2017 and it sounds like he kept delaying payment and may have written more than one bounced check to cover the debt.
by Anonymous | reply 90 | January 19, 2019 4:02 PM |
To Catch a Predator was brilliant! So uncomfortable to watch but so fucking compelling.
by Anonymous | reply 91 | January 19, 2019 4:09 PM |
Not really, R91. It was trashy television for trashy people. You were probably too doped up on Vicodin to stay awake for Springer earlier in the day.
by Anonymous | reply 92 | January 20, 2019 3:51 AM |

OMG .... can people STOP with the beggar's bowl GO FUND ME pleas ! ! !
That's way more embarrasing than bankruptcy.
by Anonymous | reply 93 | January 20, 2019 4:02 AM |
Bounced checks, the very trashiest of crimes.
by Anonymous | reply 94 | January 20, 2019 4:54 AM |
Maybe journalists -- even popular hosts like Hansen or beloved local anchors like Chris Burrous, aren't the moneybags we thought.
