“A Dogs Way Home” has a gay couple in it and the guy in front of me grabbed his kids and wife and walked out
He said “Are they a couple?!” Loud then when the black boyfriend pretty much confirmed it by asking his white boyfriend if he put their number on the dogs tags it set him off. He got up saying let’s go! And I’m so sick of this shit!
I almost started laughing. No loss there.
PS the movie is so so sweet and enjoyable if you are into those family dog films they make (I love them, love dogs so much).
The man and woman behind me were crying at the end lol. Was so wonderful.

The puppy is cute. Sadly, the grown-up dog is ugly.

Sorry R2, it’s real. Not everyone lies 24/7 like you. I find it weird with all the shit that goes on in this world that someone being offended by a gay couple in a KIDS movie is what’s hard to believe for you.
R4 where did I play victim???

It probably reminded him that he had a trick waiting for him in the theater bathroom.

Sorry R1, R8. Was baffled that it would be hard to believe parents will be offended by a gay couple in a kids movie. Expect more to be upset.

Do any dogs die or suffer? Can't bear those.

I'm with R14 -- I need to know if it's OK or I won't even start to watch it.

Most people are dickheads. Just try to make the best of it, it's our only option.

Does Chrissy Metz eat the dog at the end?

[quote] Does Chrissy Metz eat the dog at the end?
Yes...
She says "he was more delicious than he was cute," let's out a loud burp and then farts repeatedly as the credits roll.

OP, who the fuck cares what Deplorables think?

Dear Lord. I wonder if Metz will be at the Critics Choice Awards Sunday so DL can have meltdowns again when she shows up on screen.
Guys, so you know the gay couple is only on screen for about 10 minutes after they save a Deplorable during a ski accident and then keep his dog (and the main dog they assume is his also) until he can receive them again. When they get the call that he’s back home they go to drop off the dogs. He’s in bed with a broken leg and all beat up and says only one dog is his? He doesn’t want the dog etc. so they take them.
The main dog runs away again to try and get home to her owner that had to give her up.

So is this movie basically just a modern day "Lassie Come Home"?

I have seen the trailer for this movie a couple of times, and the trailer gives away the entire plot:
They get the dog as a puppy, they love the dog, the dog chases a squirrel and runs away, they look for the dog, they can't find the dog, the dog runs away from its new owners and tries to get home, and then in the last shot in the trailer the original owner spots the dog in the distance and says its name in wonder and disbelief...
The trailer should come with a Spoiler Alert warning, lol.

Reminds me of the trailer for that Kate Winslet/Idris Elba movie of them in a plane crash. The trailer shows a labrador. At the end of the trailer they announce "the dog does NOT die".

R23 the trailer shows it all but misleads in some aspects, like on how he dog leaves. He doesn’t run away. The owner is forced to give her up. And she runs away more than once from different people to get home.
Can I acknowledge that these dog flicks get some young hotties. This one had a young hottie and “A Dogs Purpose” had KJ Apa.
In May “A Dogs Journey” comes out, the sequel to A Dogs Purpose but it’s a girl instead of a boy now so we won’t have a young hot guy playing a teenager.

OP, if you got a good look at the guy, keep an eye out for him at the local cruising spot.
If you see him, loudly say "Heeeey, you, how's the wife and kids!!!", and watching him run.
