He has fallen on hard times
Brian Dunkleman (Former Idol Host) Is Now UBER Driver
by Anonymous | reply 80 | January 6, 2019 10:21 PM |
I always liked him. Class act. I hope he’s happy.
by Anonymous | reply 1 | January 5, 2019 12:52 AM |
I hope he pulls an Elvin and gets hired somewhere on TV.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | January 5, 2019 12:55 AM |
He could have had a career if he had just agreed to change his name to "Brian Prescott" or "Brian Marshall" or "Brian Bonneville" or "Brian Everett-Hughes."
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 5, 2019 1:05 AM |
He’s stunningly unattractive.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | January 5, 2019 1:06 AM |
People who "shame" are the lowest of the low.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 5, 2019 1:07 AM |
Is this the modern equivalent of finding Veronica Lake working in a diner?
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 5, 2019 1:15 AM |
Guess what? Already a thread.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 5, 2019 1:19 AM |
Ryan must've cursed him.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 5, 2019 1:21 AM |
Really!?!? We're going to kick this guy when he's down? I'm sure there are plenty of people that had their moment in the sun before their career in the entertainment industry stalled. Just like there are plenty of people who have succeeded in the business without deserving it in any capacity. Shit happens. I have no beef with him. I wish him the best.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 5, 2019 1:25 AM |
Seacrest could have thrown him a bone if he really wanted to.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 5, 2019 1:27 AM |
So, at least he has a job.
I fucking hate people like the OP, nasty fucking bulky.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 5, 2019 1:28 AM |
He didn't want Ryans bone-- hence UBER
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 5, 2019 1:29 AM |
Ryan's Bone was my favorite soap opera,
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 5, 2019 1:37 AM |
100% respect for this guy.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 5, 2019 1:45 AM |
Be careful who you kick when they're down. Life can change on a dime. I was on top of the world, blew through money like it would always keep flowing, and ended up sucking cock/giving "massages" for a year to get by. I'm doing well again, but the was like suicidal territory. Always be grateful for what you have - nothing is forever.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 5, 2019 1:47 AM |
I just wish him well. Maybe he’ll find his way back to show business if he still wants that.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 5, 2019 2:55 AM |
Does he still have the record for the dumbest mistake in show business ever?
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 5, 2019 3:03 AM |
[quote]People who "shame" are the lowest of the low.
You are referring to DLers.
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 5, 2019 3:09 AM |
Why doesn't he sell some stories about Ryan Seacrest giving a blow job to Merv Griffin, or about his gay escapades in NYC and Atlanta. Ryan has some wanna be model bearding for him. He can cash in I say. All he needs to do is to call Kelly Ripa for the details.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 5, 2019 3:14 AM |
I just looked at his Twitter. His girlfriend is quite the piece I have to say. He seems like a decent sort, unlike Cuntcrest. I hope something positive comes out of this for him like it did for Geoffrey Owens.
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 5, 2019 3:30 AM |
Lots of people driver for Uber. I know many college grads and grad students driving uber.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 5, 2019 3:34 AM |
With your writing skills you may be next R22!
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 5, 2019 4:09 AM |
I feel his pain.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | January 5, 2019 4:25 AM |
R22 has perfectly good writing skills.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 5, 2019 4:33 AM |
He's merely appealing to the Court about his "Financially Challenged" life in the attempt to reduce the inevitable financial judgement.
The Court will surely inquire as to his tenure of his being an Uber driver.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 5, 2019 4:42 AM |
The Oscar folks should get him to host their show. If fans can get Betty White on SNL then why not help a nice guy like him get a job he deserves?
Brian has hosting experience (unlike some people). The American Idol brand is famous worldwide. young folks are aware of him & older people can google/Youtube him as well.
I don't see a downside to this at all.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 5, 2019 5:24 AM |
Isn't driving for Uber the next rung up the ladder from working for McDonalds?
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 5, 2019 5:28 AM |
No shame. He's doing what he needs to do.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | January 5, 2019 5:32 AM |
He was sort of cute back in the day.
No longer.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | January 5, 2019 5:34 AM |
Not hardly r28 but keep being a dick.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 5, 2019 5:35 AM |
There's no shame whatsoever in driving for Uber, unless you were once the co-host of a top rated television show that you intentionally left.
by Anonymous | reply 32 | January 5, 2019 5:36 AM |
He keeps teasing the passenger about almost being there and where they've been already, to set up the big reveal at the end that he's lost.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | January 5, 2019 5:38 AM |
R28 OK, what do the pay per hour? Any benefits? Does Uber force everyone to work part time? No one is shaming them, I feel sorry for people who have to work dead end jobs
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 5, 2019 5:48 AM |
r32 He knew he was going to be fired, so he saved face by quitting. A bit of an important nuance there.
by Anonymous | reply 35 | January 5, 2019 5:49 AM |
And least he's got the balls to work for a living, no matter how difficult the circumstances.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 5, 2019 5:51 AM |
Class, status and income shaming is still VERY acceptable. And the worst offenders are often the ones who constantly bitch about all OTHER forms of "shaming".
by Anonymous | reply 37 | January 5, 2019 5:54 AM |
I wish the people who said "already a thread" linked to said thread. Or is that the troll who claims there's a thread when there isn't?
by Anonymous | reply 38 | January 5, 2019 5:54 AM |
Ah yes, it was the troll who lies about duplicate threads.
So much P&Ding on DL today.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | January 5, 2019 5:56 AM |
He should work at starbucks, at least they give you health insurance.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | January 5, 2019 5:57 AM |
R40 Not pretty enough.
by Anonymous | reply 41 | January 5, 2019 6:01 AM |
He earns my respect. Instead of selling drugs or even himself or committing illegal crimes, he chose to have a normal job just like millions out there. Good for him. Fuck those who kick others when they are down.
by Anonymous | reply 42 | January 5, 2019 6:08 AM |
What was he doing between 2002 and his recent Uber job, though?
by Anonymous | reply 43 | January 5, 2019 6:11 AM |
Okay sorry, answered that myself: his website archive shows he was doing stand-up until very recently.
Suddenly it wasn't enough money? Suddenly he has to quit stand-up, and it's all his cunt ex-wife's fault?
I dunno, seems calculated.
by Anonymous | reply 44 | January 5, 2019 6:13 AM |
Better than selling your body or being a porn star online
by Anonymous | reply 45 | January 5, 2019 6:16 AM |
R45 Wouldn't make gas money on that.
by Anonymous | reply 46 | January 5, 2019 6:18 AM |
I saw the writing on the wall during the first season of American Idol when he and Seacrest were cohosts but they kept pushing Seacrest that motherfucker.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | January 5, 2019 6:19 AM |
Seacrest went along with the format and Dunkleman made it known he didn't agree with the extreme criticism and shaming components, which were the essential elements of the show's success.
by Anonymous | reply 48 | January 5, 2019 7:22 AM |
R37 it’s true - it’s literally the last form of shaming that it still allowed, and...really, I find it far more offensive than fat shaming or so many of the other “shamings” that are now totally off limits.
by Anonymous | reply 49 | January 5, 2019 8:11 AM |
[quote]Brian Everett-Hughes
I knew a Bryan Hughes. He was stunning.
by Anonymous | reply 50 | January 5, 2019 8:21 AM |
I’d take Dunkelman over the virus that is Seacrest any fucking day of the week.
by Anonymous | reply 51 | January 5, 2019 10:47 AM |
[quote][R45] Wouldn't make gas money on that.
I don't know about that--- Dinkleman looks like he might have a big ol' dick.
by Anonymous | reply 52 | January 5, 2019 11:21 AM |
I assume Miss Seacrest has a full-time driver. Maybe she could hire Brian. During his down time, he could help Kelly with her bunions.
by Anonymous | reply 53 | January 5, 2019 1:15 PM |
Reading this only inflames my disgust for that closet case turd, Seacrest.
by Anonymous | reply 54 | January 5, 2019 1:28 PM |
What r9,r27,r37 and r49 said.
"Status", "class" and "position" are illusions, no different than a belief in a God, that humans have constructed to avoid the reality that we're all one day transitioning into, say, whatever it is, if we're cremated, that fire turns into.
Still , their are realities to those illusions. For instance, in early December, I sat in O'Hare Airport along with the masses while passing by, on my way to a chair that held thousands of other butts, exclusive lounges reserved for those with "status".
Would, however, there would be cameras in the boardrooms of, say, Goldman Sachs or some hedge fund that engage in stealing that we'll all be victims of, the equivalent of which no low street hustler could match.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | January 5, 2019 1:30 PM |
I had five good years on Canadian TV starting as a 16 year old until my early 20s. Then it all went away.
I couldn't get work anywhere, not in Canada, America or even in foreign markets.
Decades later I work as an electrician and occasionally someone will recognize me. Once they open their mouths and say, "Weren't you..." I freeze up and feel like shit for the rest of the day.
Very rarely are their recollections warm and nostalgic. Usually they feel pity for me for having to do something like electrical work when I was so famous.
The only thing that keeps me going is the knowledge that I make more as an electrician that I ever could have as a Canadian actor.
by Anonymous | reply 56 | January 5, 2019 3:07 PM |
R56
Who are you?
by Anonymous | reply 57 | January 5, 2019 3:55 PM |
Who was I, R57!
by Anonymous | reply 58 | January 5, 2019 3:59 PM |
^ The Littlest Hobo!
by Anonymous | reply 59 | January 5, 2019 4:05 PM |
I wish!
by Anonymous | reply 60 | January 5, 2019 4:08 PM |
Has there been no expose on Seacrest's Lesbian abuse? Dunkelman must know something!
by Anonymous | reply 61 | January 5, 2019 4:10 PM |
Maybe he’s happier now. Hollywood/show biz is a cesspool.
by Anonymous | reply 62 | January 5, 2019 4:17 PM |
R56 ❤️❤️ U
by Anonymous | reply 63 | January 5, 2019 4:22 PM |
R56 Did you work on Degrassi?
by Anonymous | reply 64 | January 5, 2019 4:26 PM |
I read Simon Cowell's autobiography and he said Seacrest worked his ass off and took it seriously while Brian acted like the job was beneath him, putting everything down and rolling his eyes whenever he got the chance. So there's that.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | January 5, 2019 4:26 PM |
This is a perfect case of American prejudice to people who are less attractive.
The ONKY reason American Idol decided to go with Seacrest instead of Dunkelman was that Seacrest was better looking.
They have come up with excuses like Seacrest worked harder and blah blah blah, but it was all looks
by Anonymous | reply 66 | January 5, 2019 4:44 PM |
I wish R64. I did have a part on a lesser teen soap that only lasted one season.
by Anonymous | reply 67 | January 5, 2019 5:41 PM |
Just fucking tell us who you are, R56. No need to be coy.
by Anonymous | reply 68 | January 5, 2019 6:14 PM |
R68 I'm no one anyone would know so it doesn't matter now.
by Anonymous | reply 69 | January 5, 2019 6:23 PM |
Omg, gurl is Shane McDermott, has-been twink and now Texas real estate agent!
by Anonymous | reply 70 | January 5, 2019 10:25 PM |
Are you well hung, R56?
by Anonymous | reply 71 | January 5, 2019 10:54 PM |
OP must be a trumpista douchebag for job-shaming.
by Anonymous | reply 72 | January 5, 2019 11:34 PM |
R70 from Swans Crossing and that skateboard movie?
by Anonymous | reply 73 | January 6, 2019 12:14 AM |
R70 The same - also from All My Children at one point. That was end of the line for acting - he cut his hair and surprise surprise things dried up.
by Anonymous | reply 74 | January 6, 2019 12:40 AM |
He's ugly. At least Ryan Seacrest is OK looking and he's very good at his hosting jobs.
by Anonymous | reply 75 | January 6, 2019 2:17 AM |
R75 Hi Ryan!
by Anonymous | reply 76 | January 6, 2019 5:54 AM |
Our alleged Canadian actor isn't very convincing.
by Anonymous | reply 77 | January 6, 2019 6:25 PM |
He seems legit to me in the fact that he doesn't embellish anything.
by Anonymous | reply 78 | January 6, 2019 9:37 PM |
R71 is such a whore asking about another posters dick size on a Dunkleman Uber thread
by Anonymous | reply 79 | January 6, 2019 9:44 PM |
Were you on Ritter's Cove, R56?
by Anonymous | reply 80 | January 6, 2019 10:21 PM |
