I saw the writing on the wall during the first season of American Idol when he and Seacrest were cohosts but they kept pushing Seacrest that motherfucker.

Seacrest went along with the format and Dunkleman made it known he didn't agree with the extreme criticism and shaming components, which were the essential elements of the show's success.
