Op cite your source, lazy-pants!

He's invited her and Shumer, along with the 2 top pigs from the Senate. There's no evidence either has consented to attend, but of course Turtle head McConnell says he'll be there.
I just hope Pelosi and Shumer tell Trump again to his fat face "YOU ARE NOT GETTING ANY FUCKING WALL YOU FAT PIECE OF FILTH".
by Anonymous | reply 3 | January 2, 2019 12:47 AM |
Schumer will give him whatever he wants. Pelosi will flip him the bird.

House Democrats, who will take control of the lower chamber this week, announced a proposal on Monday to reopen the government that did not include the $5 billion in funding for the border wall that the president has demanded.
by Anonymous | reply 5 | January 2, 2019 1:14 AM |
Don't worry about the money. I made my point and they're afraid of me!
by Anonymous | reply 6 | January 2, 2019 1:21 AM |
Yeah, Trump’s getting desperate now. He knows he's losing this one.
by Anonymous | reply 7 | January 2, 2019 1:23 AM |
Trump will cave. Pelosi has his number.
by Anonymous | reply 8 | January 2, 2019 1:25 AM |
But he will claim victory and his followers will put it down on their list of his accomplishments.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | January 2, 2019 1:45 AM |
Stick to your guns, Nancy. No money for a wall.
by Anonymous | reply 10 | January 2, 2019 2:09 AM |
It'd be hilarious if she brought a beaded curtain with her and gave it to him.
by Anonymous | reply 11 | January 2, 2019 10:00 AM |
She should wear a beaded dress. "Do you like, Mr. Trump? Can be used for a lot of things!"
by Anonymous | reply 12 | January 2, 2019 10:50 AM |
Nancy will regret shaking Donald’s hand when she greets him because her fingers will smell like fried chicken the rest of the day.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | January 2, 2019 11:07 AM |
They’ll be a taco fiesta.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | January 2, 2019 11:38 AM |
Who will Nancy be wearing when she confronts Trump this time?
by Anonymous | reply 15 | January 2, 2019 12:14 PM |
Nancy will only ok the wall if she has invested in the firm to build it. No one votes her own interest better than Pelosi.
by Anonymous | reply 16 | January 2, 2019 12:31 PM |
r16 = Boris the Clown
by Anonymous | reply 17 | January 2, 2019 12:37 PM |
Taco Trucks on every corner!
by Anonymous | reply 18 | January 2, 2019 12:39 PM |
R17 idiot who cannot follow the money.
by Anonymous | reply 19 | January 2, 2019 12:46 PM |
I believe that about every politician to some degree, R16. But non are more brazen than Republicans.
by Anonymous | reply 20 | January 2, 2019 12:48 PM |
the GOP does that TENFOLD more, maybe twentyfold in some cases
by Anonymous | reply 21 | January 2, 2019 12:56 PM |
I hope they don't cave.
As bad as it is, if they cave this time on something as ridiculous as the border wall, we may as well just give up.
Spending billions we don't have on a silly wall is ridiculous when there are so many other pressing issues. If cheeto and the rethugs are willing to shut it all down, it's on them, not the dems for standing firm.
by Anonymous | reply 22 | January 2, 2019 1:01 PM |
We all know that the money Trump is given ends up missing or goes to questionable entities. Also, they only spend 6% of the billion they were given last year. They don't need more money.
by Anonymous | reply 23 | January 2, 2019 1:04 PM |
Well not only that, r22, but it would be money spent solely to give Trump a win on a truly shitty, stupid campaign pledge. It would be purely political money. The idea that we need to build a wall across the entire border with Mexico is droolingly moronic.
It would be like some televangelist saying if he were ejected he would build a 700 foot tall crystal statue of Jesus — and would make atheists pay for it! Then he demanded five billion dollars out of the budget to pay for it.

^^^elected
by Anonymous | reply 25 | January 2, 2019 1:09 PM |
Another voice for “Don’t Cave”. As they say in Florida, stand your ground. It is his shutdown, he owns this, let him cave to get out of it.
by Anonymous | reply 26 | January 2, 2019 1:43 PM |
Pelosi and Sumer will cave for DACA. How much should we bet that DACA--that word--will start floating around tomorrow. Pelosi and pals will throw in billions for Dump's wall for that. Thereby placing party over politics.
by Anonymous | reply 27 | January 2, 2019 2:24 PM |
Madam Pelosi is totally getting into Dotard tRump's head. Today, he flubbed his impromptu press conference designed to upstage the swearing in of the new Democratic House. Let's not even talk about YESTERDAY'S press conference (LOL)!
Yes, my fellow Americans, we are in the END GAMES. Grab your popcorn and add lots of salt and butter - Enjoy!
by Anonymous | reply 28 | January 3, 2019 9:19 PM |
Pelosi will probably drop to her knees and blow Trump, giving him an Idiot Wall for illegals to sail around and American Nazis to jerk off to.
Because telling him absolutely not and charging Trump for his crimes "Is not who we are."
SO SICK OF APPEASING DEMOCRATS. The American Republic is collapsing, Donald Trump commits a dozen crimes before breakfast each morning and the Congress needs to SUBPOENA TRUMP'S RECORDS and IMPEACH.
DO IT NOW, BITCH! It's not all on Mueller the Republican.

This makes some interesting points -
- Pelosi has sent a letter instructingTrump to make a state of the union address on jan 29
- in it, she gives Trump a civics lesson in the constitution: that the executive legislative and judicial branches are equal
- she will be kept out in front by AOC and other young progressives and will not cave or compromise
- the House has broader powers than mueller
- she reappoint mueller even if trump fires him

[quote]- in it, she gives Trump a civics lesson in the constitution: that the executive legislative and judicial branches are equal
That wasn't the issue. She said she was Trump's equal, which she is not. The power is shared between her and McConnell, so neither is equal to Trump. Only together do they equal Trump.
by Anonymous | reply 31 | January 7, 2019 8:56 PM |
R31 That's not even really an issue, unless one wants to make one of it. Everyone knows congress has two chambers.
Here's what's more important and I quote -
"[Pelosi's letter] opened by reminding Trump of the rules that are about to be enforced: “The constitution established the legislative, executive, and judicial branches as co-equal branches of government.” Some commentators called this sentence gratuitous and for any other president it would have been. But this one has more than earned a civics lesson, given that he notoriously claimed as he entered office that Congress works for him. Certainly, the Congress he’s enjoyed until now, under Senator Mitch McConnell and former Speaker Paul Ryan (who just left office with a dismal 12% approval rating), gave him reason to think so, and McConnell continues to do so."

So now pence is walking back the national emergency.
Like Bolton is walking back the Syria withdrawal.
Every pronouncement is followed by a walk back. Lol.
Macabre humor in it but it must be horrendous working in this administration.

He calls himself one of the best negotiators of all time... why don't people call him out on this???
by Anonymous | reply 34 | January 8, 2019 11:42 AM |
I hope she makes him eat his words, he needs a change in his diet.

I've long wondered this myself.
by Anonymous | reply 36 | January 8, 2019 2:27 PM |
[quote]given that he notoriously claimed as he entered office that Congress works for him
And when he's giving the State of the Union address, Nancy Pelosi will be sitting BEHIND him, so when he farts, she'll have to grin and bear it.
