Old money is Gramercy Park, Sutton Place and the mid 60s to upper 70s between 5th and Park.
New money is everywhere, including the places above.

Old money is dead. It’s all about new money now. Maybe some old people on Upper East Side between Fifth and Park - but even they can’t afford that now. If you’re trying to preserve generational wealth, you probably aren’t spending $30 million on housing. I feel like DC and VA has more old money now - and it’s still relevant there.

Everplace in R5/R6 I associate with the douchebags I work with on Wall St who are mostly Jewish or ethnic ambitious, greedy, aggressive nouveau riche. Most of whom work their ass of to make a lot of money because they grew up with incredible insecurity about their wealth status and are driven to be seen as more important because they finally have accumulated wealth.

R7 The old money that lives in those towns OWNS the lion's share of those Wall St firms you & your friends work for.
