Top Gun Julia Roberts movies, except Steele Magnolias
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 26, 2018 6:16 AM |
Titanic. Never wanted to see it during its original run. I was even sick in bed for several weeks right around the time it was on HBO three times a day; never wanted to see it then either. Haven't seen Avatar either. Am I missing out? Serious question.
A quick note that might come in handy for this thread: If you want to make a list, you need to hit the return key twice after each item.

R6 You never saw Pretty Woman? The story ofa whore with a heart of gold almost raped by George Costanza and her mouth comparable to a whale's mouth!

by Anonymous | reply 11 | December 26, 2018 6:28 AM |
The original Star Wars (all of them actually), It's a Wonderful Life, most actions films, the Fast & the Furious franchise, well, basically a ton of popular hit movies, most hold no interest.
The general public liking something is sure not a barometer of a film being good.
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 26, 2018 6:33 AM |
You have deliberately avoided watching "Apocalypse Now", OP? You are a horrible person.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 26, 2018 6:34 AM |

Why thank you, R14.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 26, 2018 6:40 AM |
Just about any blockbuster except Disney movies when I was a kid. If it's a huge hit, I'd be sure to hate it..

Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Philadelphia - One of several Tom Hanks movies I have avoided.
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 26, 2018 6:42 AM |
I never bought Hanks as a serious actor. Loved him as a comedian only.

by Anonymous | reply 23 | December 26, 2018 6:53 AM |
R2, I recently watched (and then only the last half of) "Titanic."
Having seen the two other major movies about the sinking, I must say that this version superbly if grimly showed the sinking and what happened to the passengers. Death in the frigid sea was depicted vividly.
Still, one cannot help hoping for a "different ending."
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 26, 2018 6:55 AM |
Fast and Furious movies. Matrix movies. Anything with The Rock. Most Harrison Ford movies.

R13, here. Yeah, Julia Roberts is a BIG NO for me. I went to a rival school of hers and know how she was as a kid, even. Huge diva and rude, even at pool parties.
P.S. our school kicked her school's tush in drama competitions.
Apologies for my naughty negelct of a comma in my first post. I wasn't wearing my glasses.

by Anonymous | reply 46 | December 28, 2018 4:09 AM |
R23, when the "Lord of the Rings" movies first came out, I thought I wouldn't like them, that they weren't my type of movies. I put off seeing them for a few years. When I caught them on TV, I absolutely loved them.
by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 28, 2018 6:21 AM |
Star Wars.
Saw the very first one. I thought it was the worst piece of crap I had ever seen. I hate movies like that. Never again. Never ever.

Most movies, especially sci-fi or super hero movies. "Back to the Future" is a movie that everyone chastises me for not seeing. I am 52 years old so it was in the theaters when I was a young adult.
