He looked youthful in the CSI pilot (2000) then aged and chubbed out quickly after. I'm rewatching CSI season 2 now (prime George Eads).

Billy isn't the most immersive actor, but the guy has screen presence and obviously could carry the whole CSI show.

I would take Manhunter with Billy and Ralph Fiennes. Grizzled+ refined beauty.

Anyway, Billy really nailed those CSI interrogation scenes. Lots of gravitas. Much like his Manhunter style I suppose. He's a three-note actor, which is not bad for Hollywood.
