Which celebrities and famous people are child free /childless? Please post their names here
We hear so much about which celebrities are pregnant , expecting a baby , have children etc that those who don't either through choice or circumstance get overlooked or are not on the radar .Understandable up to a point but I am genuinely curious which famous people do not have any offspring and I am hoping more knowledgeable DLers will be able to add names and information to this thread.
Off the top of my head American 'celebrities' who don't have children --- Dolly Parton , Liza Minnelli
British names--- Theresa May and Jacqueline Bisset.

True up to a point r29 but that is more relevant to those who might struggle to have kids and their wealth offers them a way around it .Many on this list I suggest are choosing to be child free or are not passionate enough about having kids for it to matter to them if they don't have any?

No, R79. Emily and Anne both died before 35 of tuberculosis. Their brother, Branwell I think was his name, died either of TB or alcoholism, not sure. I thought Charlotte died in childbirth but maybe it was TB as well. And the first two daughters of the family died as children of the same disease. The father outlived them all! (mother died young of TB as well) What a brutal time.

Children will fuck up your lives. It seems a lot of them are autistic...then as adults they are bi polar...then they decide to take up some freaky religion, then they can not hold a job, next thing, they become heroin addicts. Kids? They are not worth it.

R110, i feel the same. and the kids are such selfish and ungrateful cunts these days.
It's much harder for kids to grow up normal these days with all the digital distractions. We still don't know what harm is done to their growing brains, staring at the screens since age 2. can't be a good thing.

It's hard to say what a child might actually do for you in old age. They might be tremendously helpful or they might rob you blind.
It depends on their personality, how stable they are, where they live, what problems they might have (joblessness, drugs, mental illness, etc.) and what their partner is like (if they have one).

If he's smart he got a vasectomy a couple decades ago, r13. Really, all men would be smart to freeze a sperm sample or two when they're in their late teens or early 20s, get themselves snipped, and then never worry about causing an unplanned pregnancy again.
It would have been nice if Fiennes had donated his sperm to a sperm bank so those sea glass-colored eyes and handsome Roman nose could've been passed on to future generations.

Sam Rockwell has stated in interviews that being a father is not for him and has no intention on ever having children. I guess his long-time girlfriend Leslie Bibb has the same view on not wanting children.
I really respect people who know that it's not for them and would most likely end up being terrible parents. There are certainly many (and I do mean MANY) people who've had children that had no business having them.

Henie was a frequent patient of Hollywood's secret abortionist, Miss Inez Burns:
[quote] Henie swept into Inez's house, wearing a white mink, teetering heels and a hat with a triad of pheasant feathers. Dangling from her ears was a pair of giant diamond drops. Inez profusely greeted the star and whisked her upstairs. Two hours later, Inez and Henie walked down together, where the actress was greeted by a man in a heavy overcoat who escorted Henie to her favorite San Francisco hotel, the Huntington on Nob Hill. Henie's was among the last abortions Inez ever performed.

But for Ms. Snyder, whose daughter, Pier, was already grown, the thought of starting all over again was daunting. “I took a deep breath,” said Ms. Snyder, “and said, ‘Give me 10 minutes to go outside and scream, and I’ll get pregnant if that’s what you want.’ ” But soon Ms. Ian realized that she wanted to tour again and that she was happy being a stepmother. Life without little ones didn’t last long, though. By the late ’90s, they were grandmothers. True, but even straight guys today are waiting later in life to have children, so being a male celebrity without children today doesn't stand out as much as it would have in the past.

Suzanne Pleshette spoke on Johnny Carson show about wanting children but never having had any. Wiki: "She suffered a miscarriage during her marriage to [Tommy] Gallagher, and the couple were childless. Asked about children in an October 2000 interview, Pleshette stated: "I certainly would have liked to have had Tommy’s children. But my nurturing instincts are fulfilled in other ways. I have a large extended family; I'm the mother on every set. So if this is my particular karma, that's fine."

I don't think so; adopting is raising children, not being child free.
It's interesting how many of the children's authors didn't have any of their own.

Mary Shelley's children died very young (except one) and her husband Percy drowned at 29, but she lived to 53 (died of natural causes). But her tragic life does make it seem she died young too.
"On the first anniversary of Mary Shelley's death, the Shelleys opened her box-desk. Inside they found locks of her dead children's hair, a notebook she had shared with Percy Bysshe Shelley, and a copy of his poem Adonaïs with one page folded round a silk parcel containing some of his ashes and the remains of his heart"

Corey has his son’s name tattooed on his left arm, set close alongside a script with the numbers ‘222’ which allegedly commemorate the late actor Corey Haim. Little toddler Zen appears as himself a handful of times in back of shot during the 2006 reality show THE TWO COREYS.

It's real hard to believe that many of the male celebrities mentioned on this thread don't have kids. Some of these guys have been up inside more pussy than a staff of gynecologists, and somebody would've gotten knocked up. Sterility ain't that common. It's more likely that they're either unaware that they're fathers or aren't willing to publicly acknowledge their children.

R373 Everyone has a different idea in the West. It's less about the age and more about the individual woman, and her lifestyle and vices per se. PH has long been used up and STIs may have even killed her fertility. As far as actual age of still able to get knocked up, many can into their 40s. Sometimes they'll lie and say they can't but unless there's official tests that the ovarian reserve is empty or something else wrong, she can still have kids with or without medical assistance, depending.

R417 are you crazy? Years - really decades ago - the newspaper agony auntie Ann Landers did a survey, and a relatively high percentage of mothers regretted having children (anonymously of course.) I can't remember what it was - just that I was shocked at the time. 30% - something like that. Kids are expensive and can worry a parent to death. What's the adage -- your parents ruin the first half of your life and your kids ruin the second half. There are many many advantages to being child-free.
And how do you really miss what you never had? You may have romanticized what you think you would have had - but that's not realistic. Most intelligent, practical people don't waste their time pining for what they don't have, which is just stupid and pointless. If you miss kids - think of another way to help - volunteer at a children's hospital, work with children in schools, clubs, etc. Be a foster parent. Pay monthly to starving children in Africa. I could go on and on.... No need to sit and pout about what you don't have, and I doubt many women do that. You're ridiculous (or likely a troll)

You've got to be a troll but I'll bite. The happiest demographic of marrieds/unmarrieds by gender are, yep, Unmarried Women. The least happy? Unmarried men.
When a spouse dies, men don't make it very long - several years at most. Women keep on going till the expected age, if not longer. They handle widowhood much better than men handle losing their spouses.
