Season 3 was spectacular.

Wigs were flipped.

I believe Melrose Place is on Hulu. If so, this made me want to re watch this crazy loveable show.

What is the latest on Heather Locklear, and why is she still in a mental institution, or to put it bluntly....

I was 14 when Kimberly came back from the dead.

I never saw this when it first aired. It was shown on satellite in the UK, and I went to university the summer after the explosion cliffhanger and asked my parents to record the new series and I'd pick them up when I came home over Christmas and then take them back so my flatmate and I could play the Melrose Place drinking game.

Anyway, they missed off the first half of the episode, so I never saw the explosion itself and only ever saw the aftermath. Fortunately someone eventually uploaded it to youtube, so I got to see it twenty years later.

R27, I think the episode was supposed to air on the day of the bombings, and TPTB had to reschedule the air date.

I'm pretty sure it was intended to be the season cliffhanger in May with a big explosion but they cut the episode down to just Kimberly about to press the button.

Yes, they upped it because of the Oklahoma City bombing but they aired it on 9/11!

What’s the story with Marcia Cross on Melrose in season 2? Did the writers always plan on bringing her back after they killed her off as a result of the car crash?

Brooke could have come back.

R33, I heard that they almost killed her off, even had a deathbed scene planned, but at the last minute decided to do the fake-out. When we're told that she was moved to another state and died there, it was already known that she'd come back.

And, Kimberly was still alive at the end.

I wish they could have brought Kimberly back at the end. The last 2 seasons were terrible. The only reasons to watch were for Lexi Sterling and Kyle’s hunky brother

Melrose Place will forever be a favorite show of mine. It was deliciously cheesy and it was likely the genesis of my desire to move to LA (which I did a couple decades later in life). The first season was really brutal (that whole segue from tragic, campy 90210 love affairs into surprise!! - a brand new Spelling series). By season 2 Melrose had found its footing - most of us were hooked. The last few seasons were bad (as with most TV series) as most of the original cast had moved on and the plots were no longer worth caring about. The good seasons however were the most entertaining TV hours of the 1990's.

I think it hit its stride when Heather arrived late in season 1.

When Alison saw Michael and Kimberly making out in the hospital parking lot—that’s when Melrose became Melrose.

I remember thinking that Savant was the best looking male cast member back in the show's heyday.

Michael was so ruthless but the most gay friendly. He was ahead of his time.
