Eliza Dushku reveals she was written off CBS series after reporting her co-star for sexual harassment

Damn nice work if you can get it. Not working, that is. Probably the best thing that could have happened to her, as she isn't much of an actress.
Meanwhile, Michael Weatherly is hot, so clearly she is at fault here.

At this point, most actresses are hoping someone makes a pass.

Based on when this show aired, it seems to have happened pre-metoo r2

Slut!

Wasn't she molested on the set of True Lies also?

R6 Yes, she was.

I was molested.

Her character was good and definitely had potential for additional stories over time. it certainly seemed that they were positioning the character for a lot more than what actually happened.
From what the articles say, the settlement isn't for whatever harassment occurred. It's for firing her for reporting it as retaliation, a HUGE no-no.
Whether it actually was retaliation or whether she was indeed fired, rather than their simply deciding her story line was done, is almost irrelevant. They handled the entire situation so poorly and muddled the facts that it isn't really possible to tell for certain whether they actually did as claimed.
It's the appearance of impropriety that often kills them since no one can know what was going on in another person's head.

Eliza Dushku didn't reveal it, OP.

Have to disagree with you, R9 Dushku's character didn't mesh with Weatherly's at all. They were going for more of a will they/wont they vibe and it just never gelled. She came off over-confident to the point of being obnoxious. Her attempts at being charming and seductive came off forced and unnatural. I believe Weatherly is an insecure douche who needs constant attention, but I would bet they'd decided to write her off long before she complained about Weatherly. She just didn't work in the role.

Weatherly texted the head of CBS about Dushku's humour? Silly boy.

R9 She wasn't actually fired. Her contract was for a guest starring role in three episodes. She's claiming because she complained about his comments, CBS didn't make her a regular on the show. That might be the case but it also might be because, after the three episodes, they decided not to go forward with character or decided she didn't gel well enough with the regular cast . There's lots of backdoor pilots that are never picked up or guest starring roles that are not made regular roles. My opinion is that she saw an opportunity to exploit #metoo and took advantage of it.

It could also be that she's a terrible actress.
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 14, 2018 10:03 PM |
It could also be that Weatherly’s a scumbag and CBS has a serious issue with how they treat women, you fucking Trumpkins.

Used to think Weatherly was hot but then he got fat.

R15 = Eliza
by Anonymous | reply 17 | December 14, 2018 11:10 PM |
Are people mad at Eliza for taking the money and for not reporting this to the media?
by Anonymous | reply 19 | December 19, 2018 11:04 PM |
I was molested too.

Suffering' shuckotash!

That statement from Eliza is pretty damning. Weatherly does sound like a mean girl especially after that part where he humiliated her in front of the cast and crew at the wrap party.
I've never really liked Dushku as an actress - and I'm curious now if anything happened on the set during Buffy given the news/rumors about Joss Whedon. But after reading that, I think I might agree with her. Let's see if they respond again to her allegations.
As for Bull - isn't the show done with anyway? So this mainly just makes Weatherly look bad, so he may have issues getting hired again.

Oh, I just checked, the series is in its third season. So this all happened a few years ago, right before #metoo. I wonder if CBS will cancel it or make the fourth season the last? I don't know if they've already shot the next season or not.
Eliza's statement also makes the Moonlighting guy look terrible, too.

Have people forgotten he was dating and then got engaged to 19-year-old Jessica Alba his co-star on Dark Angel? He's a creep and always has been.

All I can remember from [italic]Dark Angel[/italic] is Alba, Jensen Ackles and the human/animal hybrids.

I don't think so. Faith came back in season 7 and she worked with him again on Dollhouse.

Yes.
[Quote] All I can remember from Dark Angel is Alba, Jensen Ackles and the human/animal hybrids.
Jessica and Michael both treated Jensen like shit on the DA set.
