Whenever I catch this show in passing at the gym, I’m shocked at the actress who plays Steffy Forrester’s plastic surgery. I just had to look her up on IMDb. She is one of those LA cautionary tales of a woman who goes out to Hollywood to make it big and gets every surgery known to man, ages herself in the process (is she 60 or 30?) and the best she gets is a role on a daytime soap. I mean it beats doing porn in the Valley but I’m sure her nights are lonely and she still wonders why didn’t go the way of Emma Stone or Jennifer Lawrence.

They really haven’t had a storyline for months now. If ever there was a soap due for a house cleaning it’s this one. You can only marry and romance all the same people for so long. Bill should hook up with Steffy. At least that would create drama.

There was a hot moment in the early/mid 90s where the Brooke/Ridge/Taylor bed hopping hadn't gotten stale, Sheila was stirring shit AS a Forrester and was actually scary and Sally was providing some nice comic relief. In other words, it was enjoyable.

Now the 30 year plus incestuous nature of the Forresters/Logans/Spencers feels old and stretches credulity for a soap (I get the cast is limited because it's 30 minutes but are there really NO other people in L.A.). Plus, Brooke remains the least interesting lead character on soaps and there is a complete and total lack of ANY humor on this show. Why do people watch this? Habit?

I watched two episodes of "The Bold & the Beautiful" in March of 1987 and was completely bored. Stephanie Forrester was boring as all hell, and never had the spark of the two matriarch's she replaced, both of whom would go onto play deliciously psychotic villains on ABC soaps.

About 2 minutes into this clip from "Capitol", it gets really good (unfortunately dubbed), with Marj Dusay as the manipulative, power hungry Myrna Clegg and Constance Towers as the more noble, but all of a sudden tired of it all, Clarissa McCandless.

This was the moment (at the third minute) such a massive turning point for Bold and the Beautiful. For the two years prior Bold was a badly-paced and lifelessly boring drama, slowly skidding towards cancellation. Stephanie's gasp and over-acting here are just priceless. I remember watching this cliffhanger, mesmerized by the acting and the awfulness of it, but was already sure I wouldn't miss the next episode for anything.

Last Friday had such good acting from the actor playing Thomas. I was gutted watching him sob uncontrollably as Ridge held him.

If it were Days or GH, obviously Thomas would survive and come back later to haunt Hope. But since this is B&B, which follows a more realistic approach to death, there's a good chance Thomas might stay dead.

Taylor's photo is still in the opening credits, but she hasn't been on the show in over a year. Given everything that's happened to Thomas and Steffy in the last year, it seems like an opportune time for their mother to be there. Yet Taylor is MIA and barely mentioned.

I just watched one of the classic episodes. I was wondering if anyone knew why Stephanie would attend Eric and Brooke's wedding. It seems so strange.

At some point, Stephanie's attorney told her it was futile and there was nothing more to be done.
