Who the fuck is she kidding? "I go to mass everyday." Even Kathy-Lee ain't buying it.
Faye Dunaway: I Have Been A Devout Catholic Since The Beginning of My Career

OP thank you for mentioning me but please refer to me as Miss Dunaway in the future. TIA
by Anonymous | reply 1 | December 9, 2018 8:04 AM |
That. Face.
by Anonymous | reply 2 | December 9, 2018 8:11 AM |
Looks like she goes to her plastic surgeon every day.
by Anonymous | reply 3 | December 9, 2018 8:13 AM |
She's coming to Broadway this summer. We should all attend with wire hangers.
by Anonymous | reply 4 | December 9, 2018 8:15 AM |
Actually OP, she has been and is.
by Anonymous | reply 6 | December 9, 2018 8:19 AM |
I don't know about "since the begging of my career", but in her autobio Looking For Gatsby she talks about returning to the church in the mid nineties.
My favorite story about the Master Class tour took place in Chicago. Production had assigned someone to follow her to make sure she got to the theater on time. She would visit different churches in the city and would lose track of time. The person following her called the theater and said Faye stopped her car in the middle of the road, left it running and ran into a cathedral. Production then got a panicked phone call from Faye inside the church telling them someone was following her but she thinks she gave them the slip!
Love Faye and her 'eccentricities' (cough, cough)

She probably had to use the can.
by Anonymous | reply 9 | December 9, 2018 8:54 AM |
She is one of the biggest drug addicts in the biz.

That’s a great Faye story, R7!
by Anonymous | reply 12 | December 9, 2018 11:46 AM |
A decent interview. She’s nutty but I don’t think she’s vindictive or deliberately mean. I hope she can keep her demons at bay and work because she is indeed a wonderful actress.
by Anonymous | reply 13 | December 9, 2018 12:01 PM |
Her horrid face is proof there is no god
by Anonymous | reply 14 | December 9, 2018 12:09 PM |
I saw Faye Dunaway in the Broadway touring version of "Master Class." She was brilliant. It was a performance that I have always remembered. The best ever.
by Anonymous | reply 15 | December 9, 2018 12:10 PM |
Kathie Lee has nearly completed her transformation into Baby Jane Hudson.
Perhaps she and Faye should a stage adaptation of the property. Faye would be a fine Blanche.

Faye for HELLO DOLLY

How about focusing on the positive things you cunts, like that Kusturica movie she was so brilliant in.

Irish Catholics have the most volatile personalities of any group of people I’m familiar with. So much shame and guilt and bottled-up rage makes them act like...well, like Faye Dunaway is rumored to act on set.

Faye summoning Jesus through devotion to the Vatican.
by Anonymous | reply 24 | December 9, 2018 1:35 PM |
Faye was a beautiful woman, and just had to go and get some of the worst plastic surgery ever. What a shame.
by Anonymous | reply 25 | December 9, 2018 1:41 PM |
I love the ESL level English in that clip at R24.
It reminds me, though...WHET Brenda Vaccaro?
by Anonymous | reply 26 | December 9, 2018 2:09 PM |
Funny how she was a star but never a superstar. She has already been forgotten as an actress
by Anonymous | reply 27 | December 9, 2018 2:23 PM |
I remember her. That's all that counts.
And I love her.
by Anonymous | reply 28 | December 9, 2018 8:02 PM |
Haters gonna hate.
by Anonymous | reply 29 | December 9, 2018 8:28 PM |
Well, I'm a devout Catholic, but I don't treat other people with the scorn and contempt Faye's known for demonstrating. My dear late Mom would have smacked my face if she ever heard me saying anything rude to anyone. She considered me a reflection of her, I do think I would enjoy knowing Faye, but I think she's a very strange woman.
by Anonymous | reply 30 | December 9, 2018 9:32 PM |
R27, that's BS. Her acting is still admired by film buffs. Unlike Streep, she starred in multiple films that will be remembered for a long time (Bonnie and Clyde, Chinatown, Network, Mommie Dearest).
by Anonymous | reply 31 | December 9, 2018 9:40 PM |
Love this line from The Onion's parody on Meryl - "Can it be true that one of this generation's greatest actresses, maybe even the greatest—a national treasure, you might say—has never been in a film as good as Network, which isn't even Faye Dunaway's best movie?"
by Anonymous | reply 32 | December 10, 2018 3:12 AM |
Faye, darling, you hail from grits and red eye gravy Arkansas ,and there are very few devout Catholics, if any. Especially, when you left.
by Anonymous | reply 33 | December 10, 2018 3:19 AM |
This clip is fascinating. Faye is so intense and intelligent in the interview.
There's so few video/film interviews of Faye in the 70s - this is a treasure.
And I LOVE Oklahoma Crude. George C. Scott and Dunaway had great chemistry.
by Anonymous | reply 34 | December 10, 2018 3:20 AM |
R33 Faye is from Two Egg, Florida, so....
"Ms. Dunaway's bios list her childhood home as nearby Bascom, but this was because there was no post office in Two Egg and the local homes were on Bascom mail routes."

by Anonymous | reply 36 | December 10, 2018 3:27 AM |
R30 Priests are devout Catholics and they rape kids so you and your dear late mother might want to get off your fuckin' high horses, you dirty Catholic hypocritical cunts.
by Anonymous | reply 37 | December 10, 2018 3:28 AM |
R36, no it was me. I've always admired her.
'Understand? Or is it too tough for you?'
by Anonymous | reply 38 | December 10, 2018 3:32 AM |
I went to Mass this morning. Faye said that TRIES to go to Mass everyday so good for her. It keeps her grounded.
by Anonymous | reply 39 | December 10, 2018 3:43 AM |
Thank you for the Merv Griffin interview. Indeed she comes across as both intelligent and thoughtful. She got wacky as she aged but this is a woman with a love and respect for her craft. She put in the work.
by Anonymous | reply 40 | December 10, 2018 3:47 AM |
She threatened Amanda Lepore with a cease and desist order, which I thought was extreme...who in the mainstream would be aware of Amanda Lepore?
by Anonymous | reply 41 | December 10, 2018 4:33 AM |
Faye was drop-dead gorgeous in her prime. She also happens to be one of the greatest actors that the world has ever seen (both dead or alive). For whatever reasons (multifaceted I am sure), her star dimmed after the 1970's came to a close - but no one can dismiss what amazing things she accomplished during her very successful career. Frankly, she is fucking amazing. Watching her great roles now blows me away - the acting is generally flawless, the looks stunning and the star-power (well, she had that in spades...). Faye is one of the best.

No Faye thread would be complete without this gem.... (there's always a newbie who hasn't heard it yet)....
by Anonymous | reply 45 | December 10, 2018 6:58 AM |
Faye sat near me in the same pew in church this morning. We nodded to each other. I see her there often because I go every morning. She skips now and then.

by Anonymous | reply 47 | December 10, 2018 9:35 AM |
R41 Why was there a cease and desist order against Lepore? Was Amanda impersonating her or something?
Gotta know these details. Thank you

I love this pic of Faye by David LaChappelle. I had her sign it when I met her outside the stage door on the Master Class tour.
She said of the pic" I didn't realize it was going to be so revealing".
by Anonymous | reply 50 | December 11, 2018 1:53 AM |
You should have gotten her to sign it outside of church.

I wonder when it was the last time she was on her back, legs in the air, getting pounded.
by Anonymous | reply 55 | December 11, 2018 2:31 AM |
Well the last time she sucked cock was recently. You heard she's going back to Broadway, right?
by Anonymous | reply 56 | December 11, 2018 4:01 AM |
She's been a devout diva since the beginning of her career. Which is one reason I love her.
by Anonymous | reply 57 | December 11, 2018 4:07 AM |
I still want to know what happened with Hand of God. Faye was on the set (see pic with Ron Perlman's daughter Blake) and then they rewrote the role and only gave her replacement Linda Gray 2 minutes in 2 episodes out of the whole season. And the part was supposed to be a major character arc with Faye playing Aunt Val the matriach of the family.
by Anonymous | reply 58 | December 11, 2018 10:34 AM |
Considering she rarely talks about Mommie Dearest, this long interview with Gene Shalit is fascinating.
Love her look in the clip

by Anonymous | reply 63 | December 11, 2018 11:30 AM |
R32 Not to take an Onion article too seriously, but I consider The Hours and Angels in America to be great recent-ish classics. But maybe they are too gay-themed to be considered mainstream classic films.
by Anonymous | reply 64 | December 11, 2018 12:07 PM |
That dentist of hers should be executed.
by Anonymous | reply 65 | December 11, 2018 12:10 PM |
R60 I don't have a guess. That's why I asked.
She wasn't let go because of her behavior, because if so they wouldn't have rewritten the role and shafted poor Linda Gray with 4 minutes of screen time out of 10 hours. They would have kept the part the same and let Linda Gray play it as written or hired another accomplished actress to do the same.

Faye & Mickey Rourke have morphed into plastic surgery trainwreck clones of each other since they co=starred in "Barfly" 30 years ago.
See R58...
