Also, Star is playing to 3,900 theatres and Evita only ever reached 1,045 theatres. I'm not sure why that would be. In 1996 were musicals so out of fashion that theatres didn't pick the film up, didn't want to take a risk on it?

However, Stevie's career would go through some ups and down from 1986 through 1994, but by the end of the Nineties, she'd secured her position in Pop and Rock as a legend, with her albums consistently making the Top Ten chart, and enjoying sold-out arena shows on her solo tours as well as with Fleetwood Mac.

But being out of the spotlight in 1984 probably cost these three women quite a lot of career momentum, which Madonna clearly profited from. TO HER CREDIT.
