It's a beautiful house and the grounds are lovely, but I hate the decor. The kitchen is OK. I think I remember her remodeling her kitchen on Oprah to what it is today as a kick start to her new diet.

The building and grounds are great. I like some of the busy, colorful decor, but not all of it. It least it's interesting and not same old, same old.

I too remember reading she was an Interior Decorator at some point. Also comes to mind is an interview she did (Oprah?) where she said she used to clean houses to make money and was really good at it and still enjoys cleaning. She said when she is in a airplane restroom she uses a mini vodka bottle to clean/disinfect before she uses the restroom and she recommended to audience to use vodka to clean and disinfect , you know because the average person can afford vodka to clean with, lol.

Everey room seems overdone and she sure likes chandeliers. the effect is like a small, old art museum at a not very good liberal arts college.

It was reported a while back that Cruise sold all his properties to move to Clearwater. With all the openly bad press, Scientology is rumored to be hemorrhaging money. R21 there’s no way you can see Cielo Drive in Benedict Canyon from the 5. Maybe you mean the street where the LaBianca murders happened in Los Feliz. That you might be able to see.

Love the exterior. I like the baroque-esque feel of the entrance hall and the living room. I also like the mantle detail of the fireplace. The play room is too kitschy even for my taste (hate wood on the floor AND wood paneling in the same room). Hate the color of the tiles in the kitchen. The 1st bedroom is old grandma country style (Yikes!). The bathroom is just bizarre. Doesn't fit with the rest of the house. Too whimiscal even for my taste. The 2nd bedroom is just ghastly (hate that green wallpaper). The tub area looks so outdated. Those tiles put me off even more than the one in the other bathroom. The terrace and pool area look lovely.

How many dining rooms are there?

I expect she made a lot of money from her stint with Jenny Craig.

Aspects of it are gorgeous, especially the exterior. Some of the human-proportioned rooms are beautiful. But those cavernous rooms (did she knock out some walls?) covered in questionable wallpaper are a big NO.

She s owned the house a long time by LA standards. Its nice but its way overpriced. Despite the retard Angelina buying a nearby house at probably double its value last year, Los Feliz prices arent where this is priced. The highest price paid on her street is around 7 million up to now. It is on the nicest street in Las Feliz. Alley has had a history of flipping houses in LA and I would guess has made some serious coin over her career just on real estate in LA. Also as to the questkon about the Manson murders, I think what was being asked was the second night the mansons went on their murder spree it WAS in Los Feliz but on the eastern edge bordering Glendale on a street named Waverly Drive, probably a mile or so from Alleys.

I think the house is nice, but that busy colorful style needs more furniture and... volume. It’s really more suited to smaller rooms, IMO. There was some sort of disconnect there.
