I loved Joe Penny and watched this show relig. I no longer really remember what the show was about.

He was very attractive back in the day. He's now 62 years old, and as good as he may look, he sure as hell doesn't look like that any longer.

I remember him in that TV ripoff of Pritzi's Honor where he plays a mafioso tasked with killing his own wife, played by Melissa Gilbert.

My mom loved watching JAKE AND THE FATMAN and said that she thought JP was gay. She also mentioned that she thought Bob Conrad was gay, as well.

Back when Riptide was in its first run, a very hunky Joe Penny made an appearance on the Merv Griffin show. Merv practically outed him on camera, asking Penny if he had a girlfriend. When Penny answered with a vague "Yes," Merv then kept demanding information about her - what was her name. what does she do, where did you meet, how do you spend time together, etc. It was a real third degree,

I did the make-up on a show that Joe Penny appeared in in the 90's. He's a sweet guy, although quite high maintenance. He has a transplanted hairline and wears a hairpiece behind it.
