But Dinklage and Headey already had established careers before GoT. Of course they'll be fine. I left the show because it was too much for me. We had to be on set at 4:30, get everything ready for when the actors arrive at 6. Dress them then take care of hundreds of extras.. wasn’t at home until 10pm. We were a big family so I was really sad to leave but it was that or the asylum.

Honestly, everyone is pretty cool. Most of the cast weren’t big stars when we started so first two seasons really sounded like acting camp between friends. They all spend a lot of time together.

Kit looked good in the teaser for Season 8. Older, more mature looking. I do hope they come up with something better though. The final Season is opening in less than 90 days. I know. I don’t really care how Game of Thones ends. I have a feeling it will be even more disappointing than the terribly written last season, and probably with some awful bittersweet love story. I agree that the journey up to the end was remarkable and worth the trip, and I am looking forward to closing the book. It has gone on long enough.

R405, yes the disappointment will be inevitable by the last episode. I know I'm going to be upset and I have no idea how they'll play it. I do know that if it's just about the Whtie Walkers trying to kill the human race, and Cersei being evil and scheming to the end, I will not watch it. Because the only thing they'll keep doing is killing off established characters. I am hoping for and expecting more. That's why I'm convinced the plot twist is going to be Tyrion betraying Dany and Jon .

The show has turned into a Chronicles of Narnia type kids series. It seemed more nuanced and mature at the beginning. I think the ice zombies storyline has really made it inane. I cringe everytime Jon says "We must fight the Dead".

I don't have an issue with the WW. The entire damn series started with them. I have never really cared about the political machinations of court, I always found the more exciting elements of the story were with the characters out on a journey and facing extremes in the countryside. Perhaps why I never found Sansa's storyline as interesting as Arya's, Jo'sn, and Bran's.

It was more nuanced and mature when they had book material. Left to their own devices David and Dan are simply not the writers that George is.

And yes, the last season was poorly written so I have lowered expectations for this one. But it is certain to be a visual spectacle at least.
