Anthony Anderson seems like the type of guy who isn't very uncomfortable with gay men. On the show, Dre's sister is gay and Bow's brother, Johan, is at least bi. If they ever broach the subject with one of the kids, it will be Jack, but I doubt they would.

Yeah, it's very uncommon especially for network sitcoms for anyone to come out during the run of a show. If a character is gay, they're usually gay from the start and it's generally part of the plot of the show.
