Was Billie Hayes (aka Witchiepoo) a lesbian?

I should say "is" a lesbian. She is still alive.

She's never been married and her Lidsville co-star, Charles Nelson Reilly, was an old Hollywood screamer.

Nickelodeon announced back in 2015 they were doing a reboot of the series but there would be no Witchiepoo. Screw them.

I met her about 8 years ago at one of those horrific celeb autograph things. A friend of mine was managing a couple of the scream queens who were there and I tagged along. Super depressing place. I felt so terrible for the people who had no one coming up to them, like Marcia Wallace. I wanted to say hello to some of them, but I wasn't interested in getting any autographs, and certainly not paying for any so I just sort of browsed the aisles without stopping.

However, when I saw Billie Hayes, I really wanted to meet her. She was a big part of my early childhood. She was doing autographs, but the money she was charging was going to some local animal sanctuary, which I thought was really nice, so I actually paid for an autograph. She was a really sweet, lovely lady. I was glad I had the experience.

R9, I just looked it up at IMDb and it says its still in development. I guess the project never got off the ground.
