Is DL Fave Jessica Chastain attractive?

I think her face and features are too strong for severe or overly "simple" hair, like the center-parted shoulder-length style in the photo. (Leave that to Julianne Moore.) She needs something softer and face-framing, like the style at R2, that complements her pretty eyes and mouth.

There is something inherently androgynous about her (look at her strong neck and clefted chin in both photos), but that's true of many beautiful leading women in film. I would love to see her do something glamorous and fun for a change.

I think part of it is the nose job. Surgeons will do a chin implant to balance the nose job. That, and weight loss,gives her an oval shaped face. A rounder face is her friend.

She has strong bone structure, which can look severe but I think is far preferable to the shapeless of Jennifer Lawrence’s face (she looks like she has no bones except in her pointy witch chin).

Being short is not an issue if one is well proportioned, with long limbs. The difficulty is staying thin, and not allowing your face to get sucked up as you age. It’s a real fine balance, and you have to add muscle as you age, in order to stay well proportioned, keep a round face, yet burn fat and not get pudgy or squared.

She’s very pretty, however, she will not age well if she is a true ginger. I have seen so many out of this world knock outs, who are gingers. The women are just so beautiful, and I say this as a straight woman. They are absolutely breathtaking while young. Yet almost all of them look really bad by 40. Advances in skincare have definitely staved off the aging for gingers, but unless they are tediously careful about sun exposure and other environmental damage, they end up looking really old before their time.

She did well in having a surrogate, because a natural and healthy pregnancy would have aged her, too. That’s something an actress has to consider, I suppose.

I know nothing about her personal life, nor do I follow her career. I didn’t even know she was married with children.
