(Semi-)Anonymous Chat Rooms?

Realjock had it just a few years ago. Not sure if it's still around.

The inter-generational dating site, Silverdaddies has chatrooms but you have to load a profile and most people won't talk to you if you don't have a picture in your profile. Joining is free. They have chatrooms for guys over 45 and chatrooms for anyone. You can webcam there also.

You can't join a chatroom right after joining, there is a waiting time period, I don't remember how long the waiting period is. I haven't chatted there in years so not sure if all this info is still current, but I do know the chatrooms still exist there. I can't use them because I have my profile there hidden, meaning I don't want anyone contacting me. You have to log on to Silverdaddies every 30 days or your profile drops off.

Not rooms but you chat with someone one on one.

I hated AOL chat rooms. That what I was used to in the late 90s/early aughts, when I came here in 2003, and it was like a thousand AOL chat rooms at once. DL blew me away. AOL chat rooms were also heavily policed, dominated by cliques, they totally sucked.

I miss the sounds of AIM. It reminds me of Junior high.

I remember spending hours on RealJock several years ago. I was young and attractive but after awhile it really does a number on your psyche. You start getting upset when people don't respond to you and you feel worse when you do make a connection and then they drop you as soon as they find a pic of someone they like better. It's also overrun with people with near perfect physiques who regularly show off. It's a recipe for disaster. Avoid all these sites like the plague if you value your sanity and meet people in the real world.

I miss the Yahoo Chat rooms, most cities in the world had their own chat room, it was a good way to meet people locally.

The perfect way to get computer viruses/malware is to not have virus protection, any site you click on can give you a virus. If you have at least basic virus protection, even some free like avast or AVG you should be ok, might be a good idea to search any link before you click on it though.

i liked the old yahoo chat rooms. i created a nick name and talked so nasty. i sometimes used to disrupt topic based chatrooms with a heavy dose of my bullshit. i entertained myself that way for a time. ah, memories....
